In the Russian market, radiators from the Italian company Global Radiatori are very popular due to their high quality and wide range. The products of this manufacturer are designed taking into account the specifics of domestic heating systems. Types of radiators
Global heating radiators are produced in three varieties:
- bimetallic;
- aluminum;
- extrusion.
All types of products have their own features, specifications, advantages and disadvantages, which will be discussed in more detail in the article.
Bimetal radiators

It contributes to almost instantaneous provision of comfortable air temperature for staying in the room. Bimetallic radiators, the price of which is about 850–900 rubles per section, are resistant to aggressive environments and corrosion, and also have high thermal conductivity. They are double-colored with heat-resistant compounds, which ensures their resistance to mechanical damage.
Features of bimetallic radiators "Style 500" and "Style Plus"
Bimetallic radiator 500 "Global" (series "Style") is made in a classic style. It has a flat top, its height is 57.5 cm, depth is 8 cm, center distance is 50 cm, weight is 1.97 kg. The heat transfer of such a section is 168 watts. This heating element can be used with various types of pipes (metal-plastic, copper, polypropylene). The radiator "Global-Style" 500 consists of separate parts. Sectional assembly system with nipples allows you to increase or decrease the number of sections.
Radiator "Global-StylePlus "has collectors of simple shapes without pockets, in which the formation of air pockets is excluded. The tubes between them are large, which makes it possible to work with contaminated coolants. The design of the model allows you to increase the heat output due to the upper air chamber. Heating elements of the Style Plus brand are manufactured "with center distance parameters of 350 and 500 mm. For these bimetallic radiators, the price is approximately 10,100–10,200 rubles for 12 sections.
Advantages of bimetal radiators
Bimetallic radiators from the manufacturer Global have a lot of advantages.
- Easy installation. Sections can be removed or added during installation.
- Excellent thermal conductivity. Due to aluminum, which has good thermal conductivity properties, radiators have a high heat transfer rate. The coolant temperature can reach up to 120–135 ºС.

Disadvantages of heating elements
In addition to the advantages, the "Global" bimetallic radiator also has some disadvantages:
- high price compared to aluminum sections;
- low throughput;
- the reliability is inferior to cast-iron radiators.
Aluminum Radiators
Aluminum radiators "Global" are very popular among consumers, which have excellent Italian quality, high heat dissipation and efficiency. Their lineup consists of the following series: Iseo R350/R500, Vox R350/R500, Klass R350/R500.
The Iseo R 350 sections have dimensions of 432 x 80 x 95, and the Iseo R 500 - 582 x 80 x 80. The coolant temperature in them is up to 110º C. Due to its design, such a Global radiator can be installed both in niches under window sill, and on the walls. They are well suited for the interiors of residential buildings, administrative and public buildings. Installation of this model is possible in autonomous and central heating systems.
Italian cast aluminum radiators of the Global Vox R350/R350 series are designed for domestic heating systems. They are beautifully designed,high heat dissipation, reliable and durable. Manufactured under pressure by injection molding and have a reinforced structure. Painting them is carried out by immersion in a bath, followed by spraying with epoxy paint. Operating pressure - 16 atmospheres, allowable coolant temperature - up to 110 ºС, pH value 6.5-8.5 units. On the Russian market there are models of the Vox R 350 section, which have dimensions of 440 x 80 x 95 cm and a heat output of 145 watts. There are also Vox R 500 sections, the dimensions of which are 590 x 80 x 95 cm, and the heat output is 195 watts. They are intended for installation in autonomous one-pipe and two-pipe heating systems.
Extrusion Radiators
Extrusion heating radiators "Global" Oskar are designed for vertical mounting. This type of product is distinguished by its original design, which consists of separate parts interconnected by sealing Teflon rings and adhesive-sealant. The radiators are light weight and exclusive design.
The manufacturer produces types of sections with different center distances - 100, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000 mm. This type of radiator requires certain characteristics of water, which is a coolant. The hydrogen index should be at least 7-8 units, and water filtration from heavy elements is also necessary. This model has high heat dissipation, but is inferior in strength, which does not allow it to be used in harsh working conditions.
Differences between bimetallic sections and aluminum radiators
Radiators differ from each other in production technology and material of manufacture. In addition, they have different working and maximum pressure. This indicator is important when installing sections in multi-storey buildings with central heating, where there is increased pressure in the system pipeline. In aluminum radiators, one metal is completely used, and in bimetallic radiators, high-quality steel is used inside, and aluminum on the outside. It is very important to consider that an aluminum radiator is not suitable for installation if the heating system consists of copper pipes or the boiler has a copper heat exchanger.
Features of installation and operation of aluminum radiators
Since the operating pressure of the coolant in autonomous heating is low, reliable and inexpensive aluminum radiators "Global" are well suited here. Their installation is no different from the installation of bimetallic sections, but there are some recommendations from the manufacturer that should be followed.
- Radiators consisting of ten sections or more must be connected diagonally to the system, which makes it possible to increase their efficiency by 10%.
- It is not recommended to install decorative elements on the front of the heating equipment. This helps to reduce the level of heat transfer from radiators.
- Heaters that have ten or more sections should be mounted on additional brackets.
- The service life of the equipment also depends on the quality of care for it. To do this, before and during the heating season, the surface of the sections should be systematically cleaned from dust and dirt.
- Do not install humidifiers made of porous materials on radiators. This may cause water leakage, which will eventually damage the paintwork of the sections.
- If the system is not going to be used in the winter, it must be drained of water. During the summer, it is desirable that the sections are fully filled.
- It is not recommended to self-paint the surface of aluminum sections, this reduces their effectiveness.
- You should not use various chemical additives or impurities that artificially increase the temperature of the coolant.
Efficiency and durability of "Global" radiators, first of all, depends on the performance of the heating system. Each type of sections is designed for certain parameters of working conditions, and their installation must comply with all the manufacturer's requirements specified in the technical data sheet.
