Pine, larch, aspen and linden lining is suitable for home and bath. It is important to pay special attention to its quality when buying, as marriage is quite common.
Clapboard has been used as a building material for a long time. This name was given to her in those days when her main purpose was the lining of wagons. At the moment, this term is commonly understood as a beautiful sheathing board with a thickness of up to 22 mm. With its help, saunas, baths, balconies, as well as living quarters are trimmed, but not very often.
Finishing clapboard is sometimes carried out by attaching it directly to the wall or ceiling. This is not always possible, therefore, more often it is fastened to the crate - a frame made of wooden bars, which is first stuffed onto the walls, and then the lining is fastened to it. And here there is a rule: if the material is fastened vertically, then the crate should be made of bars located about horizontally. With a horizontal fastening of the lining, the crate is done vertically. The crate can also be mounted diagonally, the main thing is perpendicular to the lining.
Clapboard finishing is carried out withpreliminary alignment of the walls in the room, if initially they are not even, or the crate must be fixed to the wall so that it is placed in the same plane.
After the crate is stuffed, and its position is measured by means of a level, clapboard lining can be started. Traditionally, it starts from one corner and moves towards the other. The lining is fixed with ordinary nails, however, the attachment points in this case will be clearly visible. This can be avoided if, when nailing the lining, hammer nails into its grooves. At the moment, there are special brackets for attaching it, which you can use.
As already mentioned, lining can be done in different directions. Some prefer to place it vertically, some horizontally, and some may place it diagonally. With the latter option, it should be borne in mind that this will be a rather difficult job to perform with a lot of waste, but the final result will be very attractive from an aesthetic point of view. It is worth saying that the boards are placed in a horizontal position in those rooms where they want to visually make the room larger, but at the same time its height is visually reduced. In the case of using a vertical mount, the opposite result will be obtained. When finishing a house with clapboard, these patterns must be taken into account.
After completing the main work, it is important to protect thismaterial, since the tree may well become damp, blacken, lose its original appearance. For this, special means are used that cover the lining. When using a colorless coating, it is possible to preserve the original appearance of the tree. If the bath is finished with clapboard, then this option will look very attractive. In the event that, due to protection, you also want to hide certain imperfections of the tree, you can use a varnish of a darker tone or add some color to the varnish. For those who want to make the room beautiful and original, it is difficult to find a more attractive option than clapboard.
