It has long become a good tradition to give your loved ones and loved ones on February 14 small cards with declarations of love - “valentines”. But you don't have to give them only on Valentine's Day! When love lives in the soul, you can report it on any day. And it is not at all necessary to put a cute "valentine" in the offering, you can give it just like that - without a holiday and for no apparent reason, from an excess of feelings.

There are two techniques for making homemade cards: scrapbooking and cardmaking. They are not so different from each other, but still it is worth talking about them separately.
Scrapbookingsuggests that the “valentine”, made by the master with his own hands, has only paper as the material of manufacture. In this case, various applications are used, moving parts - for example, a rising hat on a gentleman or an opening window, as well as folded parts that straighten out when opened, which at the same time take on volume.
Cardmaking, on the other hand, involves a wider choice of materials with which the "valentine" is made. With his own hands in this technique, the master can create a real masterpiece! All kinds of bows, lace, buttons, small souvenirs, toys, artificial flowers can be placed in a card quite bizarrely, creating an original plot.
And someone can use natural materials in their work: sand, coastal pebbles, shells, dried flowers. Of course, it is superfluous, in order to achieve special creativity, to stick still dried insects to the postcard, for example, a butterfly, so that it “flutters” on the postcard.
It is unlikely that the fair sex will appreciate this positively: ladies are kind and compassionate creatures, for some it can even cause tears, and not the joy that a “valentine” should bring. With your own hands, it is better to make a voluminous butterfly from improvised material and fix it on the front side of the postcard.
In the cardmaking technique, by the way, you can make not only postcards, but also make original homemade gifts, for example, a portrait on a sandy background framed by sea stones.
You can also give as a gift to your beloved womana creative hanger, using a tree branch resembling deer or elk antlers in its manufacture. Such a little thing is made quite simply, but it looks extremely non-trivial.
Craftsmen may be able to cope with such a task as making various boxes and chests for jewelry made of wood, bamboo napkins, plastic bottles or with the technique of weaving newspaper tubes. With pleasure, the fair sex accepts as a gift kitchen utensils made by the hands of a loved one: wooden s alt and sugar bowls, painted spoons and cutting boards.
