Laundry is the most time-consuming task on the list of household chores. Fortunately, technological progress does not stand still, and now there are automatic washing machines in almost every home. Agree, this is a great invention, with which only the invention of diapers and a dishwasher can be compared in greatness. In any case, this opinion is shared by women around the world. However, drying clothes is still a very urgent problem. Here, a clothes dryer can come to the aid of housewives.
There are quite a few types of this fixture, for example, a wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted clothes dryer. However, the most common type is floor drying for clothes, so we will dwell on it in more detail.
All floor dryers are transformer mechanisms that allow you to make a flat one from a three-dimensional structure. You can compare such a mechanism with an ironing board device, when the legs are removed and the board can be hidden in any closet or pantry. Floor drying for clothes can be rope or rack: in the first case, ropes are pulled between the supports when the mechanism is moved apart, in the second casethe drying device provides for the presence of rails on which you can hang things. A rope dryer is lighter, but it can cause creases on the laundry, especially if things dry out. The rack dryer is heavier, and the creases on the linen are excluded. However, stains, such as rust, may well appear if the rails are made of poor quality material.
Floor dryer is usually made of plastic, aluminum or stainless steel. Plastic does not withstand heavy loads, so it is most often used as an auxiliary material for handles and corners. Aluminum dryers are light and quite durable, but, unfortunately, stains appear on the working rails over time, which can ruin the laundry. Stainless steel structures are much heavier, but they are less susceptible to corrosion. At present, products made of high-quality coated steel (the appearance of rust is excluded on such a material), as well as dryers made of metal-plastic (they are light, durable and do not rust) are gaining more and more popularity.
Separate mention deserves floor-standing electric clothes dryer. Such devices will speed up the drying time several times. They are divided into two types: a device with heated slats (low-temperature heater) and a complex structure resembling a container with slats and with warm air circulating inside (the principle of a hair dryer).
How much can a floor dryer cost? The price, of course, will depend on the chosen model. For example, a compact Gimi Plast dryer with a useful length of 10 meters and a maximum load of up to 10 kg can be purchased for only 950 rubles. But the Gimi Plus Extra model, which has twice the useful life and can withstand up to 17 kg, costs much more - 1700-1900 rubles. The price range for electric dryers starts at about 3,500 rubles.
Which floor dryer is better? There is no definite answer to this question. When choosing a design, be guided by your needs (approximate amount of laundry), the intended location of the device and its dimensions, the need for heating and other features of the model. And then you will get a dryer, which will become your indispensable assistant.
