- The top (the stand itself on which the cake is placed) is best made of metal. You will need a metal circle, which is 30-40 centimeters in diameter. It is attached to the top of the tube (metal or plastic) by welding. Of course, not everyone has a welding machine and a person who knows how to do it at home. - Plywood or chipboard is attached to the top of the metal circle, equal in diameter to the metal circle, using liquid nails or self-tapping screws.
