Any private house, be it a summer cottage or a huge mansion, due to the lack of a central water supply, needs a water pump. The most common brand in the post-Soviet space is the Kama pump.
Due to their technical characteristics and features, pumps of this brand can have several different types and models. So, there are submersible, automatic, surface and even hand pumps. Let's get acquainted with the main characteristics of each of the listed types.
Submersible pump
Pumps of this type can be subdivided into several types. The main ones are:
- Vibrating. Such a water pump "Kama" is simple in its design, but at the same time it is able to supply high power, while consuming little electricity.
- Drainage. Used to remove water from basement cellars, as well as to remove liquid from waterlogged soil.
- Centrifugal. This type of Kama pump is capable of pumping out any liquid from any source (due to its power and excellent technical parameters).
The use of this or thattype depends on the specific conditions. So, you can use vibration-type pumps at a depth not exceeding 10 meters.
The Kama-10 pump is the most common among surface pumps. Thanks to its reliability and long service life, it has earned the trust of more than one generation of people.
In most cases, peripheral and centrifugal pumps do not have a self-priming function. But this fact can be eliminated by installing an ejector for this.
Pump mechanism
In order for the Kama pump to start working, its body must be filled with water higher than its axle is installed. When the pump motor is turned on, the liquid from the filled ejector, passing through the lower part of the housing, enters its inlet. In this way, water is circulated inside the pump itself. It picks up with it the air that enters from the suction device. Therefore, at first, the pressure supplied by the pump is small. As air is removed from the system, the jet increases.
Which pump is better to use at home?
To provide the house with hot and cold water, it is better to use a surface pump "Kama" of a monoblock type. The advantage of such devices is that they can pump liquid, the temperature of which is 110 ° C. The power is relatively small, which is why there is no excessive noise during operation. Such monoblock water systems are very often used to automatically maintain pressure in water pipes.cottages and country houses. Thanks to them, the water supply system functions in the same way as in the city.
Thus, Kama water pumps are designed for both domestic and industrial use. Due to their reliability, together with high technical characteristics, they have rightfully earned their high reputation among both professionals and ordinary summer residents. In a word, Kama pumps are devices for the ages!
