The most important stage of repair is the renovation of the walls. Moreover, there are more than enough options for this: painting, wallpapering, liquid wallpaper, wax coating, Venetian and decorative plaster. But, despite the range of technologies offered, wallpaper remains the most common and, perhaps, affordable way to decorate walls. Moreover, non-woven vinyl wallpapers are considered the best option.
What is interlining?
There are vinyl wallpapers on non-woven and paper basis. The duplicating base "non-woven" is a canvas containing cellulose fibers in its composition, in itself it does not represent a special variety of texture. A spectacular pattern of such wallpaper provides a duplicate vinyl coating.
Strength vinyl wallpaper on non-wovenbasis out of competition. They have properties such as elasticity and strength. The walls pasted over with such sheets do not lose their original attractive appearance even as a result of a crack in the wall. Vinyl-based non-woven wallpaper is not subject to deformation and successfully withstand high humidity in the room. In addition to all other qualities, they also have an excellent soundproofing property.
Rules for wallpapering
The procedure that accompanies the process of updating the walls is the same for sticking all types of wallpaper. Although it is necessary to know how to glue non-woven vinyl wallpaper, it is necessary to take into account their wonderful properties:
1. Wall preparation. No wallpaper, even the most expensive, will look decent without a smooth wall surface. Therefore, the process of wallpapering must certainly begin with leveling with putty.
2. A primer layer must be applied over the putty layer. Naturally, after waiting for the complete drying of the puttied surface. It should be noted that this stage of work is very important. It is the primer layer that will further guarantee the strong adhesion of the wallpaper and the wall surface.
3. The preparation of glue made using modern technologies takes a little time. As a rule, the exposure time and the ratio of water to glue are indicated on the packaging. It is best to use glue for such wallpapers with fungicidal additives. They will protect the walls and their coating from mold.
4. Next, you need to cut the wallpaper intosheets, taking into account the complexity of the pattern and leaving a couple of centimeters in height (you can always cut them).
5. Applying glue. Non-woven vinyl wallpapers have another great quality: they do not need to be covered with a layer of glue, which prevents accidental damage to the canvases. And also a sheet of wallpaper not soaked under a layer of adhesive can be applied to the wall several times if any flaws are found.
6. Using a rubber spatula, it is necessary to expel the remaining air from under the coating, and carefully smooth the edges with a special roller.
7. Carefully joining the edges of the cut sheets, the following are glued. The “wrinkles” that have appeared can be removed by making a small incision with a paint knife and smoothing this area with a dry cloth towards the cut.
Advantages of non-woven wallpaper
Excellent qualities of non-woven wallpaper will allow you to admire the appearance of the transformed walls for a long time. In addition to the fact that they are resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress, such a coating is easily washed from dirt and dust. If the moment of the need to change the wallpaper still comes, then probably only because of the desire to change the design of the room. But in this case, it will be possible to confine ourselves to painting the walls. After all, non-woven wallpaper can withstand up to 7 stains.
