Many summer residents who have a well, a well or a reservoir on their site know very well what a submersible vibration pump "Kid" is. Historically, it was this brand of such pumps that acquired the title of "folk", becoming incredibly popular.

In principle, any submersible vibration pump, regardless of manufacturer, works on the same principle. Our today's article is devoted to this particular group of devices.

Raising the water

In order to raise the liquid from the source to the point of analysis, a pump is needed. There are several main modifications of them, which differ both in installation and in the principle of operation. Depending on the location, surface and submersible models are distinguished. All vulnerabilities of the latter are made completely sealed, which makes it possible to constantly keep such a pump under water, removing it only for service. Such models push water through the pipeline, and do not create a vacuum. The submersible vibration pump is the most affordable modification. Centrifugal appliances that use a system of intake wheels, andalso screw with worm gear are much more expensive.

Ordinary electromagnet

The submersible vibration pump is very simple. It is based on a double laminated electrical steel core (as in induction transformers).

On the fixed part there is a winding, which, when current passes, creates a magnetic field. This element is hermetically sealed with a compound. The other part is made movable - it has two degrees of freedom. When a current appears in the coil, the moving part of the core is attracted to the stationary part. Let's look at how a submersible vibration pump works.

Working principle

On the side of the movable core, opposite from the coil, there is a metal rod, on which a rubber disc-shaped piston is attached. The core itself is fixed in the pump housing using a dense elastic "skirt" made of rubber - a vibrator. When power is applied to the coil, a magnetic field arises and attracts the moving part of the core. The piston, located in a special compartment, moving away, creates a vacuum, and through the check valves, water rushes into the chamber from the outside. Since the current is alternating, when the sinusoid passes through zero, the field fades for a millisecond, and at this moment the vibrator skirt throws the core with the piston back, thereby creating pressure.

Water from the chamber cannot flow back because of the check valves, so it rushes into the outlet pipe. Furtherthe current increases again and the steps are repeated. The number of piston movements is equal to the mains frequency, that is, 50 Hz (once per second). This is how a submersible vibration pump works. Reviews about him, despite the effectiveness, are contradictory.

Features

Such solutions have two significant drawbacks that do not allow us to recommend these types of pumps for widespread use. The first is the vibration of the body, caused by the very principle of operation. It is believed that in wells where collapse or the appearance of undesirable soil layers is possible, such pumps cannot be used. We recommend installing such solutions only in wells or reservoirs, and not in narrow wells where vibration can destroy the walls. The second drawback is the rapid wear of the rubber parts of the product due to constant load. With intensive work, an annual revision with piston replacement is required.
