Recently, equipment is quite common, with which you can cook barbecue and any other food. In this case, we are talking about a barbecue with a stove. You can build it yourself using brick or steel.

Preparation of tools for the barbecue oven made of bricks

Among the necessary tools for laying the brazier, you need to highlight:

  • trowel;
  • vibrating plate;
  • rubber mallet;
  • grinder;
  • shovel;
  • solution container.

The described equipment provides for the need to equip the site. To do this, you will need a ceramic brick, a dry mix for its laying, wild stone, a metal corner, fireclay bricks, and roofing material. For the design itself, you should prepare:

  • hob;
  • furnace door;
  • blowing the door.

Preparatory work

If you decide to build a brazier withstove, then first you need to choose a place to install it. The territory should be open, a large yard is perfect for this. If plantings interfere, then some of them can be removed. In the absence of a concrete pad or paved area, it is necessary to prepare the base.

The structure will have dimensions equal to 2.5x1.5 m. The area for it should be 3 m2. The selected place must be cleared of debris, remove the top layer of soil, and then mark the dimensions of the future barbecue. It is necessary to deepen the foundation below the freezing line of the soil.

Building the foundation

If you decide to build a brick stove, then it should be installed on the foundation. A concrete solution is perfect for him. When there is clay soil on the site, then after digging the trench, you can immediately proceed to pouring the base with concrete. However, if there is a lot of sand in the ground, then it will be necessary to install the formwork, only after that you can start pouring.

As an example, a structure that rises 1 m or more above the ground will be considered. The chimney must be raised by 5 m. The average depth of the foundation should be 30 cm. To create the foundation, it is better to use concrete grade M-200. To prepare the solution, use:

  • 1 piece cement;
  • 4, 8 pieces of rubble;
  • 2, 8 parts of sand.

You can strengthen the foundation with a clay castle. For its formation, clay is used, which is laid in a layer of 2 cm aroundfoundation. The material must be compacted.

Building a brazier

When erecting a brazier with a stove, it is necessary to lay roofing material in 2 layers on the foundation for waterproofing. The first two rows are made solid. A steel door should be installed in the third row, while the fourth row will again be solid. In the next row, it is necessary to close the ash door with a lock and install a grate. Leave a 5 mm gap between the grate and the bricks.

The sixth row is laid out without gaps. In the seventh row, you can install a furnace door. Next, you should lay several rows of solid. From the 10th row, you can begin to form a chimney, while the 11th row will allow you to block the opening of the furnace door. In the 12th row, you should create a hearth of a barbecue and a stove hob.

The brazier level will be placed from rows 10 to 13. The next row must be laid out in such a way that the side and rear walls of the furnace, as well as the chimney channel, are formed. On the 23rd row, an arched ceiling is being constructed. From 24 to 31 rows, the brick is laid out in continuous rows. The transition to the pipe begins with the 32nd row. The hood is formed from the same building material as the stove itself. However, some use metal products.

Barbecue oven under the cauldron

A brick brazier with a stove under a cauldron can have a foundation arranged according to the technology described above. However, in this case, the laying will be somewhat different. From rows 13 to 17, masonry must be done in the shape of the letter P. Withthe second row should begin to form a blower chamber.

In the third row there will be a blower door. Here you need to leave a space that should be temporarily overlaid with bricks. On the fifth row, you need to form a place for a metal grill. For barbecue grills on the sixth and eighth rows, pins or brackets should be left in the walls. They can be mounted in several rows. This will allow you to move products around based on your tastes.

The chimney channel is laid on the seventh row. The next two rows will form a place for the cauldron. This hole can also be used to install a tank for heating water. In rows 12 to 17, a hob is installed.

Performing a brazier-stove made of metal: preparing a support

The brazier-stove made of metal is made after the manufacture of the support, which must be as reliable as possible, because it will have to endure the weight of firewood, a cauldron with water, as well as cooked food. For this, corners and a profile pipe are usually used.

Crossbars are welded to the legs at the top, they should form a rectangle, the dimensions of which are equal to the length and width of the main part of the structure. The width of the crossbars can be equal to 4 cm. Exactly the same elements are welded to the legs with an indent from the ground of 20 cm. A firewood shelf should be placed on them.

Making a barbecue oven

The barbecue stove, the photo of which you can see in the article, is quite often made of sheet metal. To do this, take a workpiece with a width equal to the height of the furnace. The strip is bent, and its edgeswelded together. At the top of the shell, you can make triangular slots that will become holes for firewood.

This design will also be an excellent stand for a cast-iron cauldron. An opening must be made in each corner in the upper part of the shell. Its length should be 2 cm. Each petal bends outward, and the edges of the petals bend upward. This must be done until the cauldron sits freely on the rim. It is impossible to bend the petals into the center, because they will dig into the walls of the pot when heated.

Conclusion

Barbecue with a stove can also be made from a cylinder or a pipe. These options are the simplest, because a sheet of metal does not even have to be searched for and welded. The length of the pipe must exceed its diameter at least twice. The difficulty in this case may lie only in finding a suitable product. It must have a sufficiently impressive wall thickness, because otherwise the structure will not last long.
