Tools and materials for work
To obtain a beautiful and spectacular product, you must responsibly approach the choice of material. Corrugated paper is taken of good quality, elastic, dense, rather large thickness. Only such paper will keep its shape perfectly, will not tear, will not change color when interacting with glue. The best for these purposes is the material of Italian production. To make realistic flowers, you will need several shades.
You also need pva glue or silicone, masking tape.
Prepare the wire if the flower will be suspended, or a piece of metal-plastic pipe for the stem.
And, of course, do not forget about scissors, stapler, thread and needles.
Simple DIY Giant Corrugated Paper Flowers
It will take about half an hour to create a simple inflorescence in the form of a stylized peony. So how do you make a giant paper flower?
It is necessary to take 3 sheets of corrugated paper, put on top of each other in layers and fold with a large accordion (about 6 cm for each addition). In the middle, tie with a strong thread, leaving long ends for fixing on a stand or ceiling. Make the edges curly - to give a natural look to the flower.
Now you need to straighten all the sheets, and fasten their edges with a stapler. It turned out a magnificent flower basket, to which you need to add a core. To do this, take 2 rectangles of suitable size from paper of a different shade, fold in the same way as for a flower and tie with a thread. Can be cut into strips or left as is. Straighten and glue in the middle of the main workpiece. So, we got a fluffy voluminous flower.
Dahlia double-sided thick paper
Let's try our hand at making the simplest giant paper flower, the dahlia. This beauty does not require a particularly long time and some special skill. Take:
- thick double-sided colored paper;
- corrugated cardboard;
- glue gun.
First of all, you will need to cut out a circle - the base of the cardboard. The next step is to cut out a large number of squares - the details of the petals. The longer the length of the side, the larger the resulting inflorescence will be.
Next, we turn all the squares into horns, gluing the edges. We collect the flower by gluing the horns on the cardboard base, leaving no gaps.
Glue double-sided tape on the reverse side to secure it in place.
Giant flowers for the photo zone
Decorative panels look unusually elegant in the rooms. A stunning solution for finishing the photo zone are compositions of giant flowers made of paper - colored or plain. For example, a wall made of white flowers of various sizes only turns out to be very stylish and delicate.
For work, prepare thick paper of the desired color, cardboard. Don't forget scissors and glue.
Master class: giant paper flowers
1. Let's start preparing petal templates from thick cardboard. We need 6 pieces of various sizes - large, medium and small. From the main paper we cut them out, making cuts from the bases.
2. We give shape to the petals, wrapping the edges. We glue the edges of the paper at the cuts.
3. Now we glue the largest leaves around to each other - there are 6 of them. We attach medium-sized leaves to them, and then small ones.
4. Cut out a circle from a cardboard sheet and fix it at the bottom of the inflorescence.
5. We makecore. To do this, take a piece of paper, fold it in half lengthwise and cut into strips to the middle. We perform such manipulations with one more leaf. We turn them into a tube, creating fluffy stamens.
6. Glue to the center.

Paper rose on stem
Wonderful roses are always and everywhere relevant, so why not make it to decorate your home? Its inflorescence is never monophonic, so pick up paper of several similar shades to give naturalness.
So, the toolkit is usual:
- different shades of colored paper;
- cardboard sheets;
- ribbons or braid;
- newspaper;
- piece of wire.
Cut out templates for the original blanks. The shapes of the petals are “droplet” and “heart”. “Drops” will need 8 pieces, “hearts” - 17. Give the petals a shape: stretch in the middle and twist the edges.
For the stem, cut the required length of wire and wrap it in green paper. It can also be made from rolled up newspaper.

- small balloon;
- roll of masking tape;
- needle with thick thread;
- metal eyelets;
- napkins;
- silicate glue.
Getting to work. We inflate the balloon to a diameter of 27-30 cm. According to the papier-mâché principle, we paste over it with napkins in several layers. Dry well.
Now cut the workpiece into 2 parts - in half. We will put one into the other and sew along the edge with threads and hide the sloppy line under the tape.
We will glue the place of fasteners for rigidity with adhesive tape and attach the eyelets. Let's put a wire in them for hanging a flower.
Now cut out the petals (several templates below) in the following quantity:
- 1 - 12 pieces;
- 2–4 - 20 each;
- 5, 6 - 14 each;
- 7, 8 - 8 pcs;
- 9 – 22 pieces
Shape the finished petals and start fastening in a circle from the ninth number, attaching only 10 of them. Now we take the petals number 2. Squeezing at the base of eachleaf, gently glue in a circle.
So we move to the center, gluing the entire surface of the hemisphere in order, leaving no gaps.

With the remaining petals at number 9, paste over the frame from the outside, hiding it.
Big sunflower
To create a bright sunny flower, you need:
- several rolls of corrugated paper (brown, yellow, green);
- a little leaf wire;
- glue;
- twig.
Let's get started!
We will make a basket from brown paper. We cut it into long and wide (10 x 14 cm) strips and cut each of them in the form of a fringe.
Roll it up with a strong roller and fix it with wire.
Cut out the petals for the inflorescence. First, we will prepare the required number of rectangles from yellow paper (8 x 6), then we will form petals from them.
Cut a few sepals and leaves from green paper. We cut off pieces 8-10 cm long from the wire: these are cuttings. We wrap green paper around them and glue the leaves.
Now let's put all the details together. The middle - we glue the fringe with petals, leaving a space between each. In the second row, we glue the petals into these gaps and so on, in layers. The inflorescence is ready, it remains to make the stem.
To do this, wrap the branch with green paper, while attaching the leaves to the right place, glue the flower on top.
Giant paper flowers to decorate the hall
Tools andthe materials are the same. Here 2 shades of petals will be combined - red and beige. You can choose any shape of the petals - oval, round, etc. The size is also, according to your desire, from the smallest to the largest, 12 pieces each. each.
