Today, no home is complete without electricity. Nowadays, household appliances are becoming more diverse, so it is reasonable to say that the more outlets in the house, the better.
It is important that the installation of the outlet is carried out in accordance with the PUE and accepted state GOSTs. For the information of readers, employees of state institutions will definitely check the wiring for errors, inspect the grounding, and if there is a discrepancy with the rules, they will force them to redo it, and even fine them.
Today, the installation of an outlet is carried out at least 25 cm from the floor. Editing begins with marking the area where the attribute is located. Depending on the preferences of the customer, the recess in the wall can be round or square. The work is done with a perforator, while the contours of the hole are subsequently corrected with plaster.
Installation of a telephone socket can be carried out both with and without a recess, in this case it is unimportant. At the same time, it is recommended to install a socket for electrical appliances with a recess in the wall, suchThus, accidental physical impact on the case is practically excluded. Breaking the base of the outlet may cause a short circuit and electric shock.
The inside is fixed with sliding tabs that act as spacers. If you install them correctly, then tearing out the base is almost impossible. Today, external wiring is no longer implemented, as it is unaesthetic: wires, sockets, and switches are literally built into the walls.
Before grounding the outlet, a grounding loop is carried out. In an open area, a small triangular structure welded from thin strips of metal is buried for several meters. A metal pin is supplied to it, from which a grounding loop is conducted in the form of metal conductors.
Each outlet must be grounded to such a circuit. It is forbidden to make grounding with a loop. In other words, a separate wire must be launched from each outlet, which is connected at the second end to the ground loop. If the grounding installation is made with a loop, then if it breaks at one of the points, the circuit will break, and life will be in danger.
As we know, current flows through the path of least resistance. If a person is energized, then a current flows through him and goes into the ground. In the case of grounding the device, when a person comes into contact with current-carrying parts, the main charge will immediately pass into the ground. Therefore, installation of a socket without grounding is not allowed.
Howeversuch a scheme is relevant when powered by substations with an isolated neutral of 0.4 kV. If a “phase” and a deafly grounded “zero” are brought into the house (as, however, they do in most cases today), then a ground wire in the outlet is not needed. Unfortunately, the inspectors still force him to mount it, perhaps in the future this will be relevant in all homes.
If the socket is installed by professionals, then the contacts are connected in a certain order (unless, of course, they are energized). First, grounding is connected, then "zero" and only then "phase". Dismantling is done in reverse order.
