Home improvement starts with the right materials. An excellent solution would be corrugated board. This material has such qualities as durability, reliability, strength and has an attractive price. Also, not the last factor is a fairly light mass of corrugated board. This article will describe in more detail the weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet.
Professional sheet features
Professional sheet is a metal sheet made of galvanized steel. With the help of a special press, trapezoid, wave or ridge profiles are squeezed out on it. To improve the anti-corrosion qualities, it is treated with a polymer layer or paint coating.
Basically, corrugated board is designed for roofing roofs. But also the profiled sheet has found wide application for the installation of fences, awnings and other premises. It is also used as a wall covering material.
Professional sheet advantages
Decking has a wide range of advantages. The main advantages of corrugated board:
- Light weight. On average, the weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet varies inwithin 7-9 kg. This greatly facilitates both transportation and construction work.
- Professional sheet durability. The material perfectly tolerates temperature fluctuations, does not give in to decay and fungus, and is resistant to corrosion.
- The strength of the material. Can withstand hefty loads due to its high load-bearing capacity.
- Ease of use. Installation can be performed without specialized equipment, and the standard size of the sheet allows you to cost-effectively cover the roof of any area.
- Variety of colors. It has many color solutions, which allows you to choose a color for every taste.
Varieties of professional sheet and its weight
Profiled sheet is used for various types of construction. Therefore, each of them has a number of characteristics, thanks to which it is easy to choose the necessary corrugated board for any area of \u200b\u200buse.
Distinguish between bearing, wall and universal profiled sheets. They differ in both their dimensions and weight. Data on the dimensions of corrugated board can be found from its marking:
- The first letter indicates the scope. The letter "H" means carrier, the letter "C" - wall, and the letter combination "NS" - universal.
- The first digit is the corrugation height in mm.
- The second digit is the profiled sheet width in mm.
- The third digit is the thickness of the corrugated sheet in mm.
Depending on the brand, profiled steel sheet has a different weight of 1 square meter. The smallest weight of one m2 of profiled sheetstarts from 4 kg. The universal professional sheet usually has the highest mass - up to 21 kg per 1 m2.
Wall decking: description of popular brands
Profiled sheet marked "C" is mainly used for wall cladding, but is also used for the construction of fences, partitions, barriers and other similar objects. A profiled sheet is made from a steel layer of metal with a thickness of 0.50-0.70 mm, while having a profile height in the range of 8.0-44.0 mm. The weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet ranges from 3, 87-8, 40 kg.
Profiled sheet marked C8 is used for decorative wall cladding, as well as for the construction of light structures, partitions and other fragile objects. Has height of "wave" of a profile of 8 mm. For the manufacture of C8 corrugated sheet, I use profiled galvanized steel corrugation, which is coated with polymeric materials. The weight of 1 m2 of C8 profiled sheet is within 3.86-7.3 kg.
Profiled sheet marked C21 is used for wall cladding, as well as for the construction of a fence and roofing. Made from galvanized metal. The profiled sheet has increased rigidity due to the stamping of the profile. The "wave" of the profile is made in the form of a trapezoid and has a height of 21 mm. Weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet C 21 - from 4.44 to 8.45 kg.
Carrier decking
Profiled sheet marked "H" is called bearing or roofing. It is used, respectively, for roofing, as well as for the construction of hangars, fences, trading floors and other structures with a long service life. Such a profiled sheet has an increased bearing quality. For its production, steel corrugated sheets with a thickness of 0.70-1.0 mm are used, and the profile height ranges from 57-114 mm. The mass of 1 meter of square corrugated sheet will be from 8 to 17 kg, depending on its thickness.
H60 professional sheet is used most often for roofing. But it is also used for fixed formwork and some other construction projects. The weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet H60 varies between 8, 17-11, 1 kg, depending on its thickness.
H75 professional sheet has become the most popular among other brands due to its higher mechanical characteristics. Sheets with this marking can withstand heavy loads both in a vertical position and in a horizontal one. Most often, such profiled sheets are used for roofing roofs. The corrugated board is made of steel coated with zinc, with a thickness of 0.66 to 0.90 mm and has a weight of 1 square meter in the range of 9.2-12.5 kg.
Universal corrugated board: description of popular brands
The universal professional sheet is marked "NS" and has average technical characteristics. Thanks to this, corrugated board can be used for any type of work, but most often it is used for roofing. Corrugated sheets are produced with a thickness of 0.56-0.81 mm and a corrugation height, which can be no more than 44 mm, and the weight ranges from 6.30 to 9.40 kg.
HC35 profiled sheeting is used to cover roofs withslight slope, fencing structures, fences, various prefabricated objects. Manufactured from sheet material coated with zinc or galvanized material with a polymer layer. The trapezoidal profile gives increased strength. The profiled sheet has a thickness from 0.40 mm to 0.80 mm. The weight of 1 m2 of corrugated sheet also depends on the thickness and ranges from 4, 46-8, 41 kg.
Profiled H44 brand is used for the construction of various fences, fences, as well as for roofing. Due to its high profile (44 mm) it has increased rigidity. The thickness of the profiled sheet is 0.7 mm and 0.8 mm. Accordingly, the mass of 1 m2 will be 8.30 kg and 9.40 kg.
Table of weights of various brands of profiled sheets
Most often, different manufacturers have the same brand has the same characteristics. This is due to the fact that they are made in accordance with GOST 24045-94. The table below shows the brands of profiled sheets and their sizes.

Permissible deviations for the following parameters:
- length - 10 mm
- corrugation height - 1.5 mm
- profile width - 0.8 mm
- weight - 20-100 grams.
The most reliable is the profiled sheet, in which the mass of 1 m2 and the mass of a running meter are almost the same.
In general, when choosing a profiled sheet, you need to know not only its parameters, but also its mass. Thus, a difference of 1 mm in sheet thickness can equal a difference in weight of over 15 kg. For example, the weight of 1 m2 of profiled sheet 0.7 can be from 6.5 kg to 9.8 kg.
