The fence in the suburban area performs two important functions - it encloses the space and protects the territory from the penetration of uninvited guests. Such structures can be built from different materials. At the same time, in many cases, profiled sheets are used to install fences.

Quite often, such structures are mounted on suburban areas on racks made of square or round pipes. However, many owners of private houses collect fences on brick pillars. The construction of fences from profiled sheets on such supports is more expensive than on pipes, but at the same time, such structures look more solid and, moreover, can last much longer without the need for repairs.

Select Sheets

On sale today there is corrugated board designed for roofing and wall cladding. The first type of material is distinguished by a large wave height and a rather high cost. It is believed that it is not advisable to use such a sheet for the fence. Installing a fence will costthe use of this type of material is unreasonably expensive. Used for the installation of fences in suburban areas in most cases wall budget material. It is he who is the best answer to the question of which profiled sheet for a fence on a suburban area should be used.

This material, in turn, can be galvanized or additionally coated with a polymer layer. Sheets of the first type are cheaper. However, those owners of private houses who want to see not only a reliable, but also a beautiful fence on the site should think about choosing a profiled sheet with a polymer layer. Such material can have a variety of colors. That is, it will not be difficult for the owner of the site to choose such sheets that are in harmony, for example, with the roof or facade of the house. In addition, such a fence can last much longer than a simple galvanized one.

Brick selection

This material on the modern market is also presented in a fairly large assortment. In principle, any brick can be chosen for the construction of the fence, including silicate or clinker. Most often, however, the supporting posts of the fence are still made using standard red ceramic stone.

This brick is not too expensive, good strength and quite attractive appearance. For the assembly of the supporting pillars of the fence, in most cases, hollow material of this type is used. After all, such structures bear a relatively small load during operation.

What other materials will be required

Of course, for laying poles whenthe construction of a fence from a profiled sheet, among other things, you will need a cement mortar. Also, such material will be necessary for the construction of the foundation of the fence. It is best to use a concrete mix made using M400 cement for the installation of a corrugated fence in a suburban area. Sand for pouring the foundation of the fence should choose a large river.

Tools

In order to build a corrugated fence on a suburban area, you need to prepare:

  • shovel and bayonet shovels;
  • buckets and wheelbarrow;
  • hammer and drill;
  • string and pegs;
  • welding machine;
  • concrete mixer.

Also, to assemble the fence, you will need a plumb line, a rope and a building level or level.

Building a fence from a profiled sheet with your own hands: stages of work

The fence is assembled from corrugated board, usually according to the following method:

  • marking is being carried out on the site;
  • digging a trench under the foundation;
  • the very base of the fence is poured;
  • pillars of brick are erected;
  • corrugated sheets are mounted.

It is, of course, necessary to follow all the required technologies when installing a fence made of profiled sheet and brick on a suburban area. Otherwise, the design will turn out to be short-lived and sloppy.

Markup

The correct fence from the profiled sheet must also be geometrically even. That is, before proceeding with the construction of such a fence, it is necessary to perform accurate marking.

For this operation you will need a large number of wooden pegs, as well as strong twine. When marking, in addition to tape measure, it is important to use a construction corner. First, extreme pegs are installed on the site. Further, a cord is stretched between them, and focusing on it, intermediate landmarks are driven into the ground. At the final stage of marking, the corners are checked. Of course, they must be strictly straight. After that, a string is stretched between the pegs, which subsequently needs to be guided when digging trenches.

It is best to use inelastic twine for marking when building a fence from a profiled sheet with brick pillars. Instead of pegs, for example, old metal rods can be driven into the ground. In any case, such marks must also be installed at the place of the future location of the supporting pillars.

Digging a trench

During operation, the profiled sheet fence will be subjected to quite serious wind loads. In addition, the brick pillars themselves weigh quite a lot. Therefore, the foundation for such a fence should be built as reliable as possible.

Deepen the foundation when building fences from a profiled sheet with their own hands, usually into the ground by at least 30-40 cm. That is, the depth of the trenches under such a base should be about 55 cm. At the same time, the width of the trenches under the foundation should be equal to 0.5- 0.8 m.

As soon as the trenches are dug, sand should be poured on their bottom with a layer of at least 15 cm. Such a pillow will subsequently serve as a shock absorber during spring heaving and will not allow the foundation to collapse due to movements. Sand should be laid in the trench in layers of 5 cm, spilling each of them with water from the tamping hose.

Building the foundation

In the trenches dug under the base of the fence, the next step is to install the formwork. If the soil on the site is clayey, the boards can only be mounted along the edge to the height of the foundation (about 20 cm). If the trenches are dug in loose soil, formwork panels should be installed on their bottom.

At the next stage, when pouring the foundation, a reinforcing cage is mounted inside the formwork. When using it on the site, it will be possible to put a fence from a profiled sheet as durable as possible. The frame should be knitted using 8 mm wire. To install it in the formwork relies on 5 cm thick blocks or special plastic supports.

The reinforcement should also be at least 5 cm away from the side panels. The frame should not reach the top of the future concrete tape at the same distance. At the locations of the pillars, 3-4 rods should be welded to the reinforcement of the base for the height of the supports.

Pouring the foundation of the fence
Pouring the foundation of the fence

After the reinforcement is installed, you can proceed to the actual pouring of the foundation. The mixture for this procedure during the construction of a fence from a profiled sheet is recommended to be prepared in a concrete mixer. This will allow you to get the most reliable and high-qualitysolution. When pouring the tape, the concrete should be pierced from time to time with a shovel or rods to remove air bubbles.

At the final stage, the top of the concrete tape must be carefully leveled using a trowel or trowel. To facilitate this procedure, you can use a small amount of water.

Helpful advice

Very often the foundations for fences under the profiled sheet have to be poured on hillocks. Due to the large height difference in this case, a strong overspending of the concrete mixture is possible. To avoid this, the foundations in such areas are poured into separate sections at different levels. Such a fence base at each point should rise above the ground by at least 0.1 m.

Pillar building

You can start assembling fence supports from corrugated board no earlier than 2 weeks after pouring the foundation. The weight of the brick pillars are significant. And the unripe tape under their weight can simply crack.

Brick pillars are erected when installing profiled sheet fences around rods welded to the frame with the central space sealed with concrete. Masonry in most cases is one and a half bricks. Instead of reinforcing bars, it is also allowed to use square or round pipes as a frame for poles. Before starting laying under the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe supports, pieces of roofing material should be placed on the foundation tape. In this case, it is best to perform waterproofing in two layers.

It is worth erecting the fence supports slowly, leveling each row. Bricks should be laid usingguide rod or rail. The use of such a device will make the masonry seams neat.

Recommendations for building poles

The height of the brick supports of corrugated fences can be different. But in any case, in one day, during their installation, it is worth laying out no more than 50 cm. At the same time, it is necessary to place the pillars during the construction of such a fence in increments of a maximum of 3 m. Otherwise, the sheets of corrugated board will subsequently begin to sag in strong winds.

Every second row of masonry supports during the construction of a fence from a profiled sheet must be reinforced with a steel mesh. The solution for erecting fence posts is usually kneaded in the cement / sand ratio - 1/3. Experts recommend that when preparing a concrete mix for masonry, add a little liquid soap to it. This will make the solution more plastic. As a result, it will be easier to work with it, and, consequently, the masonry will turn out to be as accurate as possible.

One of the features of the construction of profiled sheet fences is the use of special protective caps for supports. Such elements are mounted a few days after the erection of the pillars. With such devices, the fence will last much longer in the future. In addition, it will look more solid on the site.

Features of mounting caps

Protective caps for poles in the construction of corrugated board and brick fences can be purchased from any local supplier of concrete products. These lids are available in different colors. And therefore, when choosing them, of course, it is important to take into account the shade of the corrugated sheets themselves. Concrete caps are mounted on the fence supports using cement mortar.

Cement mixture caps on the fence can, of course, last as long as possible. However, these items are quite expensive. To reduce the cost of building a fence, cheaper steel covers can therefore be used to protect its pillars. Elements of this variety are attached to the supports with dowels below, directly to the bricks.

Steel caps for fences in suburban areas are usually chosen to match the color of the corrugated board.

Installing the trim

After the fence supports under the profiled sheet are erected, you can proceed with the installation of the sheathing material itself. For its fastening, horizontal steel lintels are pre-mounted between the brick supports. These parts can be fixed to the posts, for example, using embedded steel plates. Such elements are installed in the pillars at the masonry stage.

Installation of the profiled sheets themselves is carried out using steel rivets 3.2x10 mm and galvanized self-tapping screws 5x30 mm. It is advisable to cover the foundation before installing the profiled sheet with cardboard. This will prevent damage to the polymer layer of the material on the concrete edges. When using galvanized corrugated board, this step can be skipped. Sheets are attached to the crossbars using special rubber gaskets.

When installing corrugated board, make a small overlap between the elements of the sheathing material - at least 1 wave. The connection is made using special rivets. To the crossbeamssheets are fastened in such a way that there are at least six self-tapping screws per meter of their length.

Sometimes it happens that during the installation of sheets, the protective polymer layer is damaged in some places. So that the corrugated board does not subsequently begin to rust and deform, such areas at the final stage must be painted over with some kind of anti-corrosion enamel intended for outdoor use.

How much does it cost to install a fence

The owners of a suburban area will have to spend money on a good fence made of corrugated board with brick supports quite seriously. Such structures are erected relatively quickly. Experts usually install 15 m of such a fence in a couple of weeks. A fence of this type will cost the owners of a suburban area a tidy sum. Nine meters of such a fence with six supporting pillars usually costs about 50 thousand rubles.

Plinth lining

Install a fence from a profiled sheet in a suburban area, so you can do it yourself. Designs of this type look quite nice and neat. But to make such a fence even more solid and “rich”, you can additionally decorate the part of its foundation protruding above the ground.

To finish the plinth of the fence, in most cases, stone, natural or artificial, is used. If the pillars were erected from facing bricks, it is best to use the same material to decorate the basement. Sometimes the foundations of such fences are also simply plastered and painted.

A simpler version of the fence

Fences made of corrugated board with brick supports are quite expensive. It is also worth considering the fact that the technology of their construction can be considered complex. After all, not every owner of a suburban area has the skills of a bricklayer. Ordering the construction of a fence from a turnkey profiled sheet in some company is a very expensive business. In this case, the site owner will have to pay not only for materials, but also for the work of specialists.

Estimate for the construction of a fence from a profiled sheet is compiled depending on its length. And 9 meters of this design, as already mentioned, can cost up to 50 thousand rubles.

Of course, profiled sheet fences with brick supports can serve faithfully for decades. But very often, the owners of suburban areas still prefer to build fences from profiled sheets on supports made of pipes. Such structures are in most cases much cheaper than brick ones.

In this case, the foundation is usually not even poured under the fence. When assembling such a structure, marking is also first performed indicating the location of the pillars. Then, with the help of a drill, pits are made in the ground with a depth of 60-70 cm. Crushed stone is poured into the bottom of the pits, after which poles are installed in them and concreted. In order for the supports to last as long as possible and be stable, square metal thick sheets can first be welded to their lower edge.

Horizontal jumpers under the profiled sheet in such fences are usually mounted using a welding machine. The sheets themselves are attached to them using the same technology as witherecting a fence with brick pillars.

Installing gates and gates

These elements are a mandatory part of any fence, including those assembled from a profiled sheet. The gate and gate for such a fence are most often made of the same material. At the same time:

  • weld sash frames from a pipe or corner;
  • strengthen them with diagonal or transverse jumpers;
  • sheathe the sashes with profiled sheets.

At the final stage, the structures assembled in this way are hung in the openings left for them in the fence. Then locks and latches are cut into the sashes.
