The production and use of steel enameled sinks with one bowl began a long time ago, but despite the fact that the product still lost some popularity, sinks remain in demand to this day. They differ in their features, have a lot of advantages and are characterized by certain disadvantages, which remains to be found in the article.
Sink design and features
Enamelled steel sink is structurally quite simple: it is made of steel or cast iron and can have a rectangular, round or complex shape. On the rear wall of the product there is a hole for mounting the mixer, on the side - an overflow hole, and in the bottom - for draining water into the siphon.
Few people do not know what reaction steel or cast iron enters into when in active contact with water - this is a favorable environment for the development of corrosion, which leads to rapid wear of the product. To avoid this effect, the surface of the sink is covered with enamel: oil, alkyd or polymer.
Such sinks are best suited for kitchens, as they are highly durable and reliable, which is invaluable in conditions of active use. Just think inceramics and other utensils, metal kitchen utensils are rinsed in the kitchen sink. In view of this, any fall can cause a crack or chip on the faience surface of the sink, and a steel enameled sink is free from such a drawback.
The design of the sink includes from one to three bowls with additional compartments and details that significantly increase functionality and ease of use.
GOST
Steel enameled sinks in accordance with GOST 23695-94 are available in two basic variations: mounted on the countertop of a kitchen cabinet or wall-mounted. For these purposes, a special bracket is required, with which the structure is mounted.
Benefits of kitchen sinks
