Thin, lightweight paper wallpapers are glued with ordinary CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose) glue. For this type of canvas, this is the most suitable and fairly high-quality option. The acquisition of an expensive adhesive composition will simply be a waste of money. For duplex, which has a higher paper weight, it is better to use an all-purpose adhesive, which is slightly more expensive but has a higher adhesive power.
Vinyl or jute wallpapers are attached to a special glue, in addition to the basic components, it also contains fungicidal additives that prevent the formation of mold under the product. Of course, you can glue thesewallpaper and using universal compounds, but then you will need to prepare a solution with a higher concentration, which will lead to an increase in dry matter consumption.
Glue for non-woven wallpaper also belongs to the category of special. A feature of its use is that it is applied directly to the surface of the wall, which can significantly reduce its consumption.
Wallpaper adhesive containing antiseptics is recommended for use on unheated surfaces (external walls), as these additives prevent the formation of bacteria, mold and fungus under products.
