The weaving rose is a real find for the design and decoration of arches, arbors, columns, walls and fences. The shoots of these plants reach five meters in length, covered with dark green glossy leaves and twisted thin thorns. The flowers are usually medium-sized, collected in brushes or small inflorescences. There are terry, semi-double and simple. Weaving rose blooms profusely for 30-35 days, covered along the entire length with clusters of bright buds.
In order for a rose to grow well, it is necessary to choose the right place for planting. Choose a site that is lit by the sun in the morning: the dew will dry quickly, which will prevent pests from multiplying. In the afternoon, it is desirable that the weaving rose be in the shade - the sun is hot at this time and can scorch the delicate beauty. She does not like drafts either - in this case she grows poorly, and gives few flowers.
For the normal development of the plant, the soil must have good water permeability. This means that the water must quickly and without interference go into the ground. If the groundwater is close or the water drains for a long time, root rot is possible. In this case, the bush may die. If your
plot noa suitable place, you can get out of the situation as follows: dig a hole that does not reach the level of subsoil water in depth, put a large flat stone on the bottom or concrete the bottom, and pour fertile soil on top. This solution will not allow water to rise up, and the roots of the rose will not be waterlogged. In addition, stone or concrete will not allow the root system to develop in depth, and the taproots will go horizontally.
The weaving rose grows best on light loam. It is poorly suited to both clay soils and sandy ones. But even from such a situation, you can find a way out: in the place where it is supposed to plant a rose, you need to take out part of the original soil and “dilute” it with others. So, you can add sand to the clay, and mix clay to the sand. To ensure a sufficient level of fertility, add humus or humus, phosphate fertilizers to the soil.
You need to plant weaving roses at a distance of at least a meter from each other, and leave 1.5-2 meters between rows. If the planting is in several rows, then they observe a checkerboard pattern: this way the plants do not obscure each other. Prepared seedlings are lowered into dug holes (they must be large enough for the plant to spread its roots - bending of the roots should not be allowed), deepening the neck by 10 centimeters. The roots are carefully leveled (for this, a mound of fertile soil can be poured in the center of the hole, around which the roots should be placed), covered with earth, which is well tamped.
Spring planting requires additional measures: close seedlingsfilm (a kind of mini-greenhouse). This will create a zone of high humidity around the plant, which will contribute to the speedy engraftment. But that's not all. Curly roses are very capricious. Care will be required further: you need to ventilate the plants daily. To do this, lift the edge of the film. First for a short time, then daily increase the duration of exposure to the air. After two weeks, you must remove the film completely.
