Paint tape is a special paper tape that is covered with a special adhesive that leaves no residue after removal. It is used in construction and finishing works, but the scope of this material is much wider.
Making tape: types and specifications

Heat resistant masking tape
Depending on the characteristics, there are several types of crepe tapes. Heat-resistant masking tape is used in the process of auto painting, while it retains its adhesive properties during hot drying, when the temperature can rise to 120 degrees Celsius. The use of crepe is appropriate when applying a variety of logos and patterns to the car. This material does not allow the paint to penetrate into the places of gluing. After the paint dries, the tape can be easily removed without leaving any adhesive residue.
The most heat-resistant tape is an aluminum-based tape coated with an acrylic adhesive. This type of tape is used in the manufacture of refrigerators, freezers and other similar installations. For anti-corrosion protection, masking tape 50 mm is usually used - this thickness is optimal in the field of manufacturing refrigeration units.
Double-sided crepe
The strongest adhesive base of double-sided masking tape allows you to use adhesive tape in various construction work. It adheres firmly to wood and metal surfaces that are not smooth. High adhesiveness allows you to work freely with rough material.
There are three types of building masking tape:
- based on propylene with a mixture of rubber and silicone adhesive, which it is impregnated on both sides;
- on fabric backing reinforced with fiberglass fibers;
- mirrored, capable of replacing even nails or screws in some cases.
Paint Tape Application

- when working with paint, you can easily and quickly attach a film to protect a large surface;
