Materials

Also, mineral wool accumulates moisture well, but it is reliably protected from decay and reproduction of various insects. Styrofoam is also suitable for soundproofing work. Sheets are often used, but the product is also produced in the form of granules. It is a good and affordable sound deadeningmaterial, but it differs in average performance.
Preparation for work
Modern entrance doors can be of two types - with and without interior upholstery. If the product costs less than 15 thousand rubles, then the casing is easily dismantled. Door leaves without any decoration inside are much more reliable. But they miss any sounds. The soundproofing of the front door should begin with the dismantling of the lining from the inside. On most structures, it is fixed on self-tapping screws. On old doors, it can be installed on decorative nails, so it is very easy to remove.

Dismantling the skin

Soundproofing a door usually begins with the removal of the old decorative coating. Naturally, this method is not true, but in this way you can achieve maximum protection from noise from the entrance or from the street.
How and how to attach materials to the canvas
Since the soundproofing of a metal door is carried out using special materials, the installation approach will be special. Installation should be carried out only after high-quality cleaning of the surface of the canvas. To degrease it, it is recommended to use alcohol, kerosene or acetone. Sound-absorbing materials are best installed using specially designed adhesives. Don't skimp on them. Sound-absorbing boards and sheets should be as flat as possible on the surface of the metal sheet.
This is important, because only in this way the door can withstand temperature changes in the off-season and drafts. When choosing an adhesive, pay attention to the fact that it has a service life of more than 10 years. This way you won't have to re-paste everything in a couple of years. Each next layer is recommended to be laid only after the previous one has completely dried. Schumanet has its own adhesive film, but there is no need to have high hopes - the composition on this film is not very reliable. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to coat it with the main substance. In order for "Shumanet" to better adhere to the metal surface, it is recommended to preheat it with a hair dryer for 20 minutes.
Seam treatment
This is an important point. Without high-quality processing of seams, the sound insulation of the door will not be complete. At the joints, in places where the sheets are interconnected, it is recommended to seal and dampen these areas. Ideal for this special sealant. With it, you can quickly process a metal front door.
Lock processing
This point should be given special attention. If the castle has an open design, it is worth laying these sections with soundproof materials. Gaps are easily filled with mounting foam.
Don't put too much makeup on. It has the ability to grow. As a result, the lock may jam. Instead of foam, mineral foam is well suited.cotton wool or silicone sealants.
Completion of works
Now the soundproofing of the entrance metal door is almost over. Additionally, it is recommended to lay the insulation under the leatherette. Interior
Soundproofing an interior door will help create maximum comfort and coziness in an apartment or house. But this process is performed a little differently than in the case of input structures. Here you need to try to seal the joints. Cloths of such structures are rarely subject to serious modifications. To protect yourself from noise, you must purchase and install a threshold. It must be aligned with the door leaf when closed. It is recommended to glue the seal along the perimeter of the door frame.
It should be selected based on the size of the gaps along the edges of the web. If the seal is not enough, then there is another option - sheathing with special panels. It is best to immediately purchase interior doors with sound insulation, for example, from MDF. Over time, sound-absorbing materials can break down and wear out. It is recommended to update them periodically. The position of the canvas is especially important. During operation of the door, distortions may occur, due to which gaps appear.
