In engineering, materials are made using this type of film, but it has found its greatest use in construction. Lavsan film reinforces awning fabrics, drive belts and hoses, composite reinforcement. It is used in the production of floor coverings, is the basis of packagingribbons. Included in airbags, geotextiles, banner covers.

This material is also used for packaging perfumes and pharmaceutical products. Recycled due to low decomposition rate.
