What a new bridge means for a big city is well understood by the townspeople themselves, who, in order to get to the right place, have to overcome considerable distances. All this is nerves, gasoline and time. The construction of the Frunzensky bridge in Samara will help solve the problem.
How did it all start?
At the end of December 2012, N. I. Merkushin, the governor of the region, sent an open letter to the Gubernia Duma with a proposal to begin construction of the bridge. The new facility is an important and much needed transport artery that will connect one of the districts with the historical center of the city.
The bridge will connect two streets of the Kuibyshev district - Frunze and Shosseynaya. This will help to reduce the intensity of traffic on the street. Main and switch part of the traffic flow to this design. In addition, the new bridge will connect the city with the M-32 federal highway and other local highways. Thanks to the Frunzensky Bridge in Samara, a direct connection will appear both with the new microdistrict "Southern City" and with the satellite cities of Samara -Chapaevsky and Novokuibyshevsky.
The entire structure will pass through two reservoirs: Lake Bannoe and the Samara River. The planned length of the structure is almost 667 meters. The width of the structure is 21.1 m, which is designed to lay out 6 lanes.
To provide passage for river vessels, a bridge clearance with a width of more than 0.2 km is planned. Also, the bridge will be raised to a height of 12 m above the water.
Because the bridge is a structure with up to 135 channel spans, it is a unique and technically complex structure. This category is specified in the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation. Accordingly, it is the FS Rostekhnadzor that controls the progress of work.
An import substitution program was introduced at the construction of the Frunzensky Bridge in Samara. This means that only Russian-made materials manufactured in accordance with international standards will be used for the work. It's about:
- Anti-corrosion coatings.
- Geosynthetics.
- Components required for mixing asph alt mixes, etc.
It was planned at the facility:
- Pack 46,000 cu. monolithic reinforced concrete.
- Perform asph alt concrete pavement in the amount of 101 thousand square meters. m.
- Make a mound of 1,140,000 cu. m of soil.
- Assemble about 10,000 tons of steel structures.
Start of the construction process
The project of the Frunzensky bridge in Samara was approved, and in November 2015 construction work on itsimplementation.
General contractor - STG JSC. It will do the following:
- Develop working documentation (done).
- Supply logistical resources (in progress).
- Perform installation work (in progress).
The Stroytransgaz enterprise also took part in the construction work at the preparatory stage. Completed:
- Completion of earthworks.
- Release and prepare sections of the route where work will be carried out.
- Re-arranged communications.
Budget and timing
In the original project, it was indicated that the construction of the bridge in Samara was to be completed by the beginning of 2019. Life has made its own adjustments, and now the completion of work has been postponed for another year.
It was decided to allocate part of the money for the construction of the bridge from the regional budget. The amount is quite impressive - 12.8 billion rubles. In 2015, 820 million were allocated, in 2016 and 2017 the amounts were allocated in installments of 4 billion. The same amount will be allocated in the current 2018.
But this, of course, is not enough, therefore, according to the decree signed by the head of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev, in 2016, more than a billion rubles were additionally allocated from the country's treasury for the Frunzensky bridge in Samara. In total, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will allocate about 134 billion rubles for the project.
How did work progress in 2016?
By the beginning of the new year 2017, according to the project, the builders completed the workfor the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge. It passes through the lake. Bath. In addition, several pillars were built:
- 2 and 7. These are channel elements.
- No. 1 and No. 8. Structures installed on the coastline.
A number of preparatory works for the construction of transport interchanges have also been carried out.
2018: how is the construction going?
Today, work continues. The assembly of metal structures necessary to create the 5th stage of span sliding is in progress. At the moment, a structure 250 m long has already been moved from the left bank. It weighs 3130 tons. The central part, located between the 2nd and 7th supports, consists of 11 elements. Their length is almost 560 m.
In addition, the construction of supporting element No. 3 is being completed and the basement of the fourth construct is being arranged. When these works are completed, all supports for the Frunzensky bridge in Samara will be ready.
Preparation of construction and installation works also continues at the exit of the interchange of the transport hub of the left bank, which goes to Shosseinaya street (8 interchanges will be built in total). The construction of reinforced concrete track supports at the C-3 exit has already been completed. When the frosts go away and positive air temperatures set in, work on the installation of the span structure will continue - this is necessary according to the technological features of the process.
But the end of the work is still far away: the lack of funds has slowed down the process. It was recently reported that the Frunzensky Bridge will be put into operation by the end of 2020of the year. There is not much to wait.
