Electric stoves were born much later than gas stoves, but they have already won a firm position in the market. Such plates have a more advanced design, have a wide range of additional features and functions. An important plus is also that the connection of an electric stove, unlike a gas stove, can be done on its own.

It should be noted that connecting an electric stove at home requires certain knowledge and skills. The duration of the period during which your equipment will work without failures depends on the correct implementation of this process. To put the stove into operation, first of all, it is necessary to lay a separate cable, which will be connected directly to the shield.

A connection diagram is shown on the back of each electric stove. It can be single-phase, two-phase or three-phase. Most stoves these days are single-phase, so you'll need a three-wire cable. Experts recommend using a cable with a copper core diameternot less than 4 mm2.

After you have laid the cable, you can start directly connecting the electric stove. Before doing this, we advise you to read the instructions for the electrical appliance. For connection to the electrical wire, the block has six contacts. In order to include 220 V in a single-phase network, you need to install jumpers in accordance with "ground", "phase" and "zero". If you are an amateur in this matter, we advise you to contact an electrician, because the fate of not only your household electrical equipment, but also the entire electrical wiring, if you do something wrong, will depend on this.

The socket for the stove should be installed next to it, and no other appliances are recommended to be included in it. The electric stove is connected to a socket with three pins, which must support a current of 25-30 A. The previously laid cable must be connected to the socket.

The cable contains wires of different colors. We connect the blue wire to "zero", black - to "phase", yellow-green - to "ground". Now you can connect the stove to the outlet, having first leveled it.

Next, you need to check: there should be no contact between the "ground" and the "phase" (the ohmmeter shows the "infinity" sign when the 2 MΩ mode is selected); the resistance between "zero" and "phase" should be within 4-10 ohms (checked at all positions of the plate switches in 100 ohm ohmmeter mode).

Recessed cookers are connected in the same way, however this processrequires more care, as the correct positioning of this appliance in relation to other kitchen furniture is of great importance for its operation.

I would like to note that it is advisable to entrust the connection of the stove to an experienced electrician. This way you can be sure that everything is done correctly. Another argument in favor of this: according to statistics, most of the electric stoves are repaired precisely because of improper connection and commissioning. As a rule, stores specializing in the sale of electrical equipment have experienced employees on their staff who will help you connect and install the stove efficiently and in a short time. Therefore, we advise you to invite such a specialist and enjoy cooking delicious dishes on your brand new stove.
