Not every owner of a country house is lucky enough to get a plot with a ready source of water. As a rule, you have to take care of its production yourself to ensure not onlyimmediate needs, but also comfortable living conditions.
But far from any water source can meet the needs of a house “armed” with modern household appliances: showers, dishwashers, baths, etc. Yes, and on the site I want to have a pool or a bath, a decorative fountain, and drip irrigation in the garden.
Therefore, the most possible solution to the problems seems to be the extraction of water using a well. But before the well begins to provide a solution to economic problems, it must not only be drilled, but also equipped.
Regardless of whether it is equipped with a caisson or an adapter, reliable sealing of the mouth will be required. For this purpose, there is a special device - the head of the well. It provides a hermetic connection of the casing and pipelines on the surface of the site. In addition, a power cable passes through it, feeding the pump motor, pressurepump pipe (32 or 40 mm), dry run control cable.
The head of the well is equipped with a carabiner for attaching a safety cable, which ensures increased reliability of the pump suspension. The sealing device is installed on the casing pipe with a diameter of 107 to 152 mm, if there is a caisson - inside it. Usually the head is made of plastic or cast iron. The former are designed for a working load of up to 200 kg, while the cast iron ones are able to withstand a suspended load weighing up to half a ton.
The head for the well consists of a flange, a sealing rubber ring and a cover, which is tightly attached to the flange during installation with four bolts with nuts and washers. In the center of the cover there is a brass collet, steel eyebolts and two cable entries. The lower eyebolt is used to fasten the cable, and the upper bolts are sealed with a special cap nut.
It is easy to install the cap on the well - no welding is required, since simple installation is carried out by simply tightening four bolts. They securely compress the entire structure, and the rubber ring provides a tight seal.
Before installing the head, the casing pipe is cut evenly, and strictly perpendicular to the vertical axis, the edges are carefully cleaned and coated with an anti-corrosion compound. With the help of the upper eyebolts, the pump is immersed by any lifting device.
The head of the well perfectly protects it from ground surface water, as well as fromhit by random objects and clogging. It greatly simplifies the maintenance of the entire structure. In addition, the head of the well reduces the likelihood of equipment theft, provided that special security bolts are used.
The whole design of the water source takes on a neat and finished look. Reliable, comfortable, beautiful! It is not worth saving on the arrangement of a well - its correct implementation guarantees a long operation of the well and an uninterrupted supply of clean water.
