Apparently, the days when the poor electrician had to make a huge number of twists during the installation of electrical wiring have already passed. This is one of the ways to connect electrical wires to each other. According to all the installation rules, such a connection should still be soldered and insulated. The work is long and painstaking, and the result was not the best. If there were a lot of such connections in one place, and even a large-section wire was used, it cost a lot of work to squeeze all the twists into the junction box. Over time, under the influence of electric current, the contact between the wires disappears.
Everyone who has ever de alt with electrical installation will understand the joy with which we met the new terminal blocks for wiring. That is, there were terminal blocks as such before, but they were rather voluminous boxes in which the wire was necessarily fastened with a screw. They were mainly used to connect lamps. Many of you have probably been in this situation: you are standing on a stepladder underthe very ceiling, head and arms pulled up, turn this small screw in the terminal block with a screwdriver. One awkward movement - and this small infection falls to the floor. Well, what words did you say, getting down from the stepladder and going in search? Today you are spared this, because there are wonderful wiring terminals.
It's time to tell about them in more detail. For example, Wago wiring terminals are devices that firmly clamp the wire without the help of a screwdriver.
Outwardly, this is a very small plastic capsule with holes and levers. Their number (from 2 to 8) corresponds to the number of wires that can be connected using this terminal block. The principle of operation is simple. The lever is cocked to a vertical position. The wire is stripped of insulation and inserted into the hole. The lever lowers and firmly clamps it with a spring. Instructions for use are located directly on the terminal block body in the form of a picture. And if suddenly, when assembling the circuit, you find that you have clamped the wrong wire into the device, the mistake is easy to fix: cock the lever again and calmly remove it. The company that produces these wiring terminals is German, so the quality is guaranteed.
The result is a neat junction box. The wire connections are strong and durable, they do not need to be further insulated. Terminal blocks do not take up much space, and the whole structure fits easily in a box.
One word - beautiful! And this work takes time.much less than when using classical twisting and soldering, and practically no tools are required. A big human "thank you" to the one who invented the terminal blocks for wiring! The price for such products, depending on the manufacturer, the type of connection and the number of connected wires, can be from 2 to 60 rubles. But my personal opinion: it’s not worth saving, it’s better to save your strength, nerves and time. Try to use terminal blocks for wiring. And feel the difference!
