There are a variety of types of stairs. Their design depends entirely on the size of the building, individual rooms, as well as on the purpose of the stairs themselves. Depending on the layout of the room, they are single- and double-march. By marching it is customary to understand a series of steps that is not interrupted. Usually, one march contains no more than 10 steps, and they are separated from each other by an intermediate platform.
Types of stairs are also divided into rotary and straight. Straight-line structures are the simplest option. They are easy to make and very easy to use. If we talk about double-flight stairs, then it is advisable to make them with the same number of steps.
The most common stairs, which rise in a clockwise direction. When designing structures with two marches, it is worth remembering that the distance between the marches or between the ceiling and the march should not be less than two meters. The width of the march should not be less than 60 centimeters, and the height of the handrail should not be less than 90 centimeters. In large buildings, you can find types of stairs with many marches.
Let's consider these designs from the point of view of space organization. The most beautiful types of stairs are spiral ones. They themselves can serve as an interior decoration, while they take up quite a bit of space. Such stairs can be placed even on a fairly small area, this is ensured by their design. Fan staircases are one of the types of spiral staircases. Here the entire load falls on the central vertical rack, on which the steps are strung. Such a ladder has a greater lifting step than a marching one. Such designs have such a disadvantage as uneven step depth. That is why they are more often used as a decorative or additional staircase, but not the main one.
There are marching types of stairs for the home. Two-march structures are usually used, since single-march structures are very steep, and this is not always convenient. Structures consisting of several marches can be straight or rotary. In the case when an intermediate platform is followed by two marches directed in opposite directions, we are talking about a swing staircase. This design looks very original, so it is customary to classify it as an elite staircase.
As the main element of each staircase, you can name the base that holds the entire structure in a stationary position. The bolt stairs look openwork and light, but the foundation structures on bowstrings and stringers are not like that, they are more heavy.
It is worth saying that the types of wooden stairsdo not fundamentally differ from those described earlier, since they build on the basis of the same rules.
Modern masters create more and more new designs, combining different types in them, which allows you to create beautiful and unusual stairs in design. When choosing the right option, you should rely on the available options in the room, as well as on the appropriate type of design and constructive solution.
