A special place among LED light sources is occupied by the so-called LED strips (stripes, rulers). They consist of LED modules connected to each other on a single flexible basis, 3 diodes each. Their use is a universal solution for many situations where it is not possible to install fixtures on fasteners. For installation, aluminum profiles for LED strips are most often used.
Designers have found a good use for them in interior lighting solutions. This is a device for ceiling lighting in niches, boxes and behind cornices, illumination of stretch ceilings, decoration of shelves, arches, illumination of stairs and skirting boards, accents on individual elements of decor (fireplaces, mirrors), in furniture lighting - wardrobes, ends of glass furniture.
Materials used for the manufacture of profiles

They are suitable for any type of luminaires, both indoors and outdoors, as they are resistant to corrosion, suitable for installation in rooms with high humidity, and do not emit any harmful fumes. In addition, aluminum removes heat very well, which increases the duration of the LED strip. Its ease of installation makes it possible to create structures of any configuration.
Profile types
Aluminum profiles for LED strips differ in installation method: overhead (or universal), mortise and corner.
The overlay profile is most often used in the furniture industry, providing lighting for wardrobes or kitchen furniture. You can highlight the glass tabletops. A profile of golden or silver colors up to two meters long is used. To diffuse the light flux, the aluminum profile for the LED strip is often equipped with light filters.
Angular profile is applied in thatif you need to apply a non-standard solution (in the illumination of shop windows, window openings, ceilings, all kinds of niches, you can use it as a plinth for the floor or ceiling).
Recessed aluminum profiles for LED strips are resistant to external influences, used to illuminate furniture, stairs, floors, even in the yard to illuminate the veranda or paths. They significantly outperform similar plastic profiles.
Methods of fastening the tape to the profile
The aluminum profile for the LED strip is equipped with special grooves for convenience, where you can simply push the strip "by surprise". But if there is a need, then it is enough just to stick the tape.
