What are hydraulic pullers? These are devices used for the dismantling of various parts and assemblies, which are pressed in on the outer and inner diameters and have an interference fit. Often, these devices are equipped with two or more often three "legs" (supports) made of high-strength carbon steel. At the same time, to achieve greater hardness and strength, these tools undergo additional heat treatment.
What can they do?
Today, hydraulic pullers can dismantle parts such as:

- propellers;
- pins;
- pulleys;
- bushings;
- couplings;
- flanges;
- gear trains;
- railroad wheels and disks of heavy vehicles, including saddlestractors;
- brake discs;
- crankshafts.

Varieties
There are four main types of hydraulically operated devices:
- Devices with built-in pump.
- With remote pump.
- Hydraulic clamp type pullers.
- Universal devices.
Let's start with pullers with built-in hydraulic pump. Their working principle is as follows. A pump built into the puller body drives a hydraulic cylinder with a metal rod mounted at the end. The latter, in turn, sets in motion special grippers, as a result of which the necessary part is removed. The price for such a hydraulic puller is very diverse - about 5,000 - 30,000 rubles, depending on the characteristics of the load capacity, diameter and gripping depth.
Devices with an external pump have an additional special high-pressure hose in their design, which can be designed for pressures up to 70 MPa. This mechanism can have different lengths depending on the level and volume of work performed. Due to its small size, it is often used in hard-to-reach places. The technical characteristics are almost identical to the previous version with a built-inpump.
Hydraulic clamp-type pullers are used in cases where it is necessary to remove a part that is difficult to remove, that is, which devices with a standard grip cannot dismantle. At the same time, these tools can work with devices with a diameter of 3.5 to 42 centimeters. The maximum force applied to the used part is simply colossal - up to 35 tf!
The last type is universal hydraulic lifters. Both grips and a collar can be included in their kit at the same time. They are most often used to dismantle impellers, pulleys, gears and other devices planted with an interference fit. As a rule, the use of this hydraulic puller allows you to dismantle the part without any damage that all of the above devices can provoke.
