One of the important tasks during the repair is filling the floor. The price for these services is 300 rubles per m2. The aesthetics and durability of the finishing floor covering will depend on this. The need for alignment may arise not only during a complete reconstruction, but also during a simple repair. There may be several solutions, but the most common is the installation of a screed using self-leveling compounds.

Rough rover

The floor leveler can be used to repair serious defects in the base, which has deep gouges and chips, as well as cracks. In this case, the floor can have a big difference in differences. To do this, it is recommended to use a coarse leveler, which has the form of a dry mixture of coarse particles. To use the composition must be combined with water. Filling the floor (the price for such services was mentioned above) is done in a rather thick layer using a rough leveler. The screed does not crack after drying and can withstand heavy loads.

The basic component in such mixtures is most often cement, which allows you to obtain the necessary strength and adhesion to the surface. If the mixture is intended to form a 5-10 mm layer, then it should not be made more massive, since it can crack under loads. Before leveling, it is worth deciding on the number of layers. If there are dents with a depth of more than 10 mm, it is recommended to repair them in advance with special mixtures or a leveling compound. Only after that it is recommended to pour the screed on the entire subfloor.

Finish Alignment

The floor screed can be designed to form a completely smooth and level base. Therefore, before using such mixtures, the floor must be leveled using the base composition. It has smaller fractions, and when water is added, it forms a plastic composition that is easily laid on the surface. Finishing rovers are more complex in composition than those described above, as they are subject to more stringent aesthetic and practical requirements.

Mineral polymer components are added to the components during the manufacturing process, which make it possible to obtain a leveling agent with the qualities of strength and high resistance to physical influences. The basic components in this case are most often gypsum and cement, which determine the main quality and possibilities of the future floor.

Preparing the solution

If you decide to use a floor leveler for work, you should become more familiar with the technology for preparing the solution. After surface preparation, marking and installation of beacons are completed, surface priming can be carried out. Then a solution is prepared, for which a container of the right size is needed. Clean water is poured into it, and then dry equalizer is poured in.

In the process of this, the solution should be mixed, for which a drill with a special nozzle is used. The tool should be set to low speed, in the process of this you will need to get a homogeneous mass without clots and lumps. The base coat smoother becomes thick, and excess water can cause the mixture to foam. From this, the mechanical strength of the composition will decrease, the material will delamination after drying. Therefore, the manufacturer's instructions must be strictly followed.

Applying technology

The floor leveler at the next stage is laid out on the base, distributed over the surface. If the solution is quite thick, then it will not spread well, so it should be distributed manually using a spatula, a rule or a flat board. To get rid of bubbles and layers of air, use a spiked roller. The viability of the solution will remain for half an hour from the moment of preparation.

The markup made at the previous stage should be used as technological zones during pouring. This approach is convenient if you have to work with an area of more than 20 m2. Such zones are recommended to be filled alternately. Self-levelling floor leveler left up tocomplete drying. There should be no drafts in the room, and if the air inside is too dry, then the floor surface should be covered with polyethylene.

Technology for using finishing rover

If you need to get a perfectly flat and smooth surface, you should use a mixture to finish leveling the floor. There should not be too large height differences on the rough foundation. The mixture is diluted to a more liquid state. For such a leveler, a thorough primer is required, in some cases waterproofing is needed, which is important for a multi-storey building, when there is a risk of flooding the neighbors from below.

The base must be free from loose finishes, dirt and dust. Beacons are not required for finishing alignment, as the solution will spread on its own. Self-levelling floor leveler should have a layer of several millimeters, some solutions are designed to form a layer of up to 3 cm. It is important to ensure appropriate conditions in the room, in which the temperature should not fall below +10 °. Surface leveling should be done with a spatula or other tool.

Master's Tip

Finishing floor should be poured in separate areas. The surface for this is pre-divided into zones, one of which you can fill in 15 minutes. At the same time, it is necessary to fill in at one time, without forming technological breaks. Only in this way you will achieve good quality and durability of the floor. It is important to avoid fastdrying of the mixture, as in this case, cracks or air bubbles inside may form on the surface.

Consumption and technical characteristics of the composition "Volma-Nivelir Arena"

Volma mixes are on sale today in a large assortment. Among them you can find "Volma-Nivelir Arena", which is a dry mixture based on high-quality cement, modifying additives and fractional natural fillers. The composition is high-strength, frost-resistant and non-shrinking. It comes in 25 kg bags. With it, you can form a layer from 5 to 60 mm.

For the preparation of 1 kg of dry mix will take about 0.2 liters of water. If there is a need to close all 25 kg at once, then 5.75 liters of liquid should be added. With a layer thickness of 10 mm, approximately 16 kg will be required per 1 m2 surface. It is necessary to use the finished mixture within 60 minutes, and the air temperature can vary from +5 to +30 degrees. The surface can be used for walking after pouring after 24 hours at an average ambient temperature during drying at +20°.

Cooking Volma-Nivelir Arena

Volma mixtures must be used according to a certain technology, which provides for the correct preparation of the base and the preparation of the mixture, as well as the procedure for carrying out work. The surface must be cleaned of dirt, the base is treated with a primer, and then the floor level is indicated. In places where the base adjoins the walls, a gasket should be installeddamping materials. The optimal pouring area at one time is from 20 to 25 m2. Water is poured into the container, then the dry mixture is poured and mixed for 3 minutes with a professional mixer. The solution is settled for 5 minutes and mixed again.

The resulting solution should be used within an hour, and to speed up the pouring process, it is recommended to prepare a solution of 2 bags, this requires a capacity of 90 liters. This self-levelling floor, the consumption of which was mentioned above, should not be prepared in a concrete mixer. Among other things, an overdose of water should be avoided.

Technology

As soon as the mass is prepared, it can be poured onto the surface, excluding technological breaks for more than 10 minutes. This will ensure the continuity of the filling process. While the mixture is leveled on the surface, the second portion of the composition should be kneaded. After pouring the solution, you need to get rid of the levels and remove bubbles from the mass with a construction mop. During curing, during the first two days, direct sunlight should be excluded and natural ventilation should be provided. The use of heat guns is prohibited. Laying the coating on a leveled floor can be done 7 days after pouring. Residual surface moisture when laying subsequent materials should not exceed 1%.

Bergauf Boden-Nivelir Finishing Leveler

The final leveling of the floor can be done with a mixture of the brand Bergauf "Boden-Nivelier". It is a composition for leveling the surface in rooms of different humidity. A self-leveling floor (with the exception of gypsum), a cement-sand screed, as well as reinforced concrete slabs and monolithic concrete can act as a rough coating. In the latter case, cracks must first be repaired. The mixture has a gray color, the maximum fraction of the components is 0.63 mm.

When laying a 10 mm layer, the consumption will be 16 kg per 1 m2. The viability of the mixture is maintained for 30 minutes in an open container. Partial load on the floor can be allowed 8 hours after pouring. It is noteworthy that after three days you can lay the finish flooring. The product can be used without restrictions, but cracks and large defects in the base must first be repaired.

Wooden floor leveler

When looking at floor leveling, you may want to consider Neu auf Alt, which is a cement-based self-levelling mortar. It is designed to work with complex bases, including wooden ones. In one application, you can form a layer whose thickness will vary from 1 to 20 mm. For wood, the minimum thickness increases to 5 mm. The mixture is elastic, hardens quickly enough after pouring and can be applied to old tiles, paint and other coatings. This mixture is able to replace high-layer, expensive solutions such as chipboard or cement-based substrates.and shavings. With Neu auf "Image" you will be able to form a flat surface that can be used for subsequent work in the form of laying ceramic tiles or applying paint.

You can walk on the surface after 5 hours, and after 12 it is permissible to start subsequent work. The leveling of the wooden floor can be carried out at a temperature of 5 to 30°. The temperature resistance of the coating varies from 0 to 70°. Ingredients include speci alty cements, synthetic additives, quartz sand, antifoam agents and cracking agents. If you level a wooden floor with the described mixture, you will get an environmentally friendly surface that does not contain quartz flour.
