First production model
The Druzhba-2 petrol saw appeared on the market in 1955 and immediately gained immense popularity among forestry workers and gardeners. At that time, the unit had quite impressive capabilities, including ease of repair and maintenance, as well as high performance. As a power unit, a two-stroke single-cylinder engine with a capacity of about three horsepower was used. In terms of security, when compared with modern counterparts,"Friendship-2" left much to be desired.
Despite its advantages, the tool had a number of significant drawbacks. Firstly, the unit was not equipped with an engine stop button and an instant stop system, the engine was turned off manually by blocking the access of fuel. Secondly, the automatic chain lubrication function was not provided on the first samples, which reduced labor productivity during prolonged use and contributed to intensive wear of the working edge. Friendship-4
This improved modification is also morally obsolete for a long time, but it still works in some farms. From its predecessor, the "four" differs in a number of improvements. Among them:

- The cylinder and piston group are made of reinforced aluminum alloy, which has a positive effect on their long service life.
- RPM increased to 5400 rpm.
These innovations made it possible to increase the productivity of the device, which was able to process up to 0.75 square meters of wood per second. Druzhba-4 was equipped with a forced atmospheric engine cooling function. A spark on a candle arose with the help of a special cable and a magneto. Fuel from the tank was supplied by gravity, the working mixture -gasoline and oil in a ratio of 15/1. The noise of the tool has decreased due to the installation of an updated muffler in the design.
Modifications "4 Electron" and "5-E"
Another advanced tool of the series in question was equipped with electronic ignition. The 4 Electron model had a power of three horsepower, consumed about 720 grams of fuel (kW / h), the distance between the electrodes of the candle was 0.6-0.7 mm.
The next update was released under the index "5-E". Running
The unit in question is filled with special oil for two-stroke engines, mixed, in the above proportion, with AI-92 gasoline. The running-in of the tool is carried out in two stages. Even the best chainsaws of the line in question must develop at least four fuel tanks at idle. At the second stage, they begin to work without overloading the unit. The recommended period is 24 hours. After that, they remove the special factory stop ring located between the carburetor cap and the throttle, and proceed to the full use of the selected model.
Operation
Workwith the specified tool refers to conditions of increased danger. Therefore, you must first carefully study the instruction manual for the Druzhba chainsaw. This will allow you to determine the principle of operation, features, safety rules. Care should be taken when carrying out work, it is necessary to first consider the places where branches and trees fall in order to avoid injury. When sawing the material, it is necessary to guide the blade from the base to the top. No need to give the maximum load on the motor immediately, let it warm up for a couple of minutes.

Carburetor adjustment
