Water is the basis of life. Therefore, everyone strives to have water supply, sewerage, heating on his site, in his house or in his own production. And it is good if the work of all these communications is constant and uninterrupted. This is especially true for water supply. Fortunately, today there are practically no problems in order to drill a well in your summer cottage or near a country house and pump water from it using a pump.
It is economically more expedient to organize water supply from wells than to arrange water supply in another way. And surface pumps can only be used at a sufficiently high water level. Therefore, deep pumps, despite their relatively high cost, are very popular. All of them are multi-stage, which helps them to raise water from a fairly large depth (sometimes up to 300 m). Because of this, they got their name. In addition, deep well pumps have a high head. But at the same time, they should not be lowered too deep into the water. Maximumthe permissible immersion depth for them is 20 m. If the pump is lowered deeper, the insulation may not withstand. Also, these pumps are easy to install, they are compact and silent. Disadvantages include a high degree of maintenance complexity.
Deep pumps are presented in a large assortment and are produced under various brands, for example, Grundfos, Pedrollo, Needle, Sprut, ZDC, Pumps +, etc. All of them can maintain efficiency in difficult conditions and provide a house or plot with water even from the deepest wells. There are vortex, centrifugal and screw pumps: vortex pumps are designed only for clean water, for liquids with a high content of impurities it is worth using more expensive centrifugal or screw pumps. Downhole pumps can be well type or directly deep. By purpose, deep pumps are for wells, wells, as well as drainage and fecal.
Well pumps are uniquely designed. Water is taken from the middle, the pumping part is at the top, and the engine, which runs constantly and in very harsh conditions, is located at the bottom. Due to this, it is constantly and effectively cooled by a stream of water passing between the wall of the well and the pump. And the smaller this distance, the greater the speed of water movement and, accordingly, the better the cooling. Usually the documentation indicates what the maximum diameter of the well can be (pumps for wells with a diameter of up to 3 inches are not available). The same principle applies to use submersible pumps in wells and open waters. Most of them can be installed in a horizontal position, but you need to make sure that the documentation indicates this possibility.
Recently, the presence of abrasive inclusions in water has become a common problem, due to which deep pumps can quickly fail. Even if the well is equipped with a high-quality filter, part of the sand still enters the water, and because of this, the impellers wear out faster. Therefore, modern pump models have a wear-resistant coating on wheels and a floating suspension.
