Recycling of plastics, polyethylene, cellophane and their derivatives is not as expensive as troublesome, bringing little income, especially in the early stages of development. In this regard, wherever you look, you will see scattered packages, bottles, various parts of household equipment. Take it and don't make anything out of plastic. True, there is one area of \u200b\u200bproduction where the use of this material brings much more benefits and requires almost no disposal. We are talking about plumbing and plumbing systems. Let's talk about polypropylene pipes manufactured under the Korsis and Pragma trademarks.
Purpose and scope
Polypropylene pipes are designed for non-pressure passage of industrial liquids, sewage and storm water, solving problems of water supply and sewerage output. The Pragma and Korsis sewer pipe successfully copes with all these functions. Design features make it much easierlaying and operation of pipelines. They are used both for underground and for outdoor (ground) laying in various regions of the country, in different climatic latitudes. Since the product of the company "Pragma" and the pipe "Korsis" technical characteristics, purpose, design, and appearance (except for coloring) are almost the same, we can consider them on a general example.
Key Features
The product is a two-layer pipe made by extrusion (connection of layers) from polypropylene with various additives. The inner working layer is smooth, which prevents the formation of clogs. The outer corrugated layer is responsible for protection against mechanical damage during installation and transportation, as well as from ground pressure during operation. Pipe "Korsis" specifications has the following:
- diameter - from 110mm to 1200mm;
- bookmark depth - from 1 to 15 m;
- working pressure - up to 10 atmospheres;
- weight of one linear meter - from 1.2 kg to 50 kg;
- ring stiffness – 2-16 kN/m2.
Modifications of corrugated pipe "Korsis"
All pipes with a two-layer profiled wall "Korsis" are produced in pieces 6 and 12 meters long, painted black on the outside. The internal color of the Korsis-PRO series is light blue. The product is characterized by increased ring rigidity - 16 units (CH index). This allows stacking to the maximumdepths up to 15 meters. The CH indicator itself, depending on the diameter, thickness and structure of the wall in pipes, can be 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 16 and 24 kN/m2.The smallest is in ECO series pipes made from recycled material.
Korsis pipes, the technical characteristics of which are adapted specifically for outdoor installation, are produced in the SVT series (spiral). The outer color is black, the inner color is white. The ISO-Corsis series is specially designed for operation in conditions with low temperatures. Another pipe "Korsis" has the maximum technical characteristics (diameter, wall thickness, ring stiffness). It goes on sale under the PLUS series. The diameter of such pipes is 2400 mm. APM and SVT series have similar properties. When choosing corrugated polypropylene pipes, always be guided by the ring stiffness index. It is better to purchase a series with increased performance.
Installation of pipelines
As with any other pipeline construction, you first need to dig a trench, then make a pillow of sand. Only then comes the Korsis pipe. The technical characteristics of this type of pipe require the arrangement of not only a sand cushion, but also filling the entire body of the pipe with fine-grained sand. This is necessary for the design of the corrugated outer layer. Thus, the entire load is distributed directly to the stiffeners.
For docking, two types of mounting are provided: coupling and welding. Couplingoccurs as follows: first, we put on a sealing ring on one pipe (depending on the diameter, on the first or second groove). Then we put on the clutch. Now we put the ring on the second pipe and insert it into the first coupling.
The technique of joining by welding is no different from joining any other types of polymer products. Pipes "Korsis" of large diameters are produced with a socket. Its length is from 97 to 433 mm. Using a welding machine, heating the thin end and the socket end, and then inserting them into each other, we get a strong and reliable joint.
Advantage of corrugated pipes
One can talk a lot about the advantages of polypropylene corrugated pipes. Here and speed, and ease of work, and saving material plus human resources. Improved performance and compliance with environmental requirements are also pluses. But the main advantage of the Korsis pipe is the technical characteristics that allow it to be used in unstable soils, in permafrost conditions. And the two-arch form of the corrugated surface is able to withstand increased loads in any adverse temperature conditions.
