Green, red and black grapes are no longer considered rare and are successfully grown by professionals and amateurs. Pink varieties, which include the Original grapes, are not so widespread, but recently they have been in high demand. What is this variety? What are its differences and main features? Origin and variety description
Pink table grapes The original, the photo of which is presented below, was bred by Ukrainian breeders by crossing two parental forms: Damask rose and Datier de Saint-Valier. From them, the variety inherited the large size of ovoid or papillary berries, the mass of which reaches 5-7 g. The clusters of the Original grape variety form large ones. Under good growing conditions, they can reach one and a half kilograms, but in most cases their weight is 500-700 g.
The appearance of the berries is very beautiful: white or slightly pinkish skin is covered with a slight tan on the sunny side. fruit pulptranslucent, very sweet, contains about 20% sugar and a small amount of acids - no more than 5 g / l. Lovers prefer to grow the Original grape variety because it has a bisexual flower. This means that for successful fruiting there is no need to grow other grape varieties near it. In addition, high yields make it possible to grow only one plant per plot to provide a small family with fresh berries and preparations from them.
Despite the listed advantages, the Original grape has several disadvantages. For example, the clusters of this variety are verydo not tolerate transportation well. The berries are easily separated from the stalks, so even with a short shaking, the clusters remain almost completely bare.

You can plant grapes both in spring and in autumn. Grapes do not like drafts, but they do not tolerate stagnant air either. The place of growth of the vine should be in the sun for a long time, so it is better to plant grapes on the south or south-west side of the site.
In order to get the optimal amount of yield from one plant, Original grapes must be formed in the same way as other varieties, while leaving up to 40 eyes on one bush. They take a significant amount of nutrients from the higher shoots, causing bunches to pea.
Unfavorable weather conditions during flowering also contribute to the crushing of fruits. To avoid this, experienced growers carry out timely treatment of the vine with drugs that enhance the natural immunity of the plant. During the ripening of the bunch, you can cut off most of the leaves on the vine. This will allow the grapes to ripen quickly and evenly and acquire a characteristic pink tan. Special attention is also paid to the formation of the bush, because the yield of the plant depends on it. You need to remove up to 12 eyes on each shoot.

Like other varieties, Original grapes can be propagated by cuttings and grafting. Each method has advantages and disadvantages. For example, young seedlings take root better in milder climatic conditions. If the average annual temperatures are low, prolonged rains and late frosts often occur, it is best to practice grafting the cuttings of this variety on the stock of grapes adapted to such conditions. Fans of growing a vine "from scratch" will like propagation by seeds.
