Dutch rose is the most delicate and most beautiful of the representatives of this plant species. The most outstanding variety is without a doubt the Grand Prix. Dutch roses of the Grand Prix variety are a recognized leader in sales on the entire planet. They look great cut, regardless of the splendor of the bouquet. However, the flower is capricious and needs careful care during its cultivation. Dutch rose prefer nutritious, fertilized and airy soil, in addition, it has a very weak winter hardiness. Severe Russian frosts are harmful to the root system of these pamperedplants. However, this does not mean at all that the flower cannot be grown in the conditions of our backyard.
The Dutch rose can be grown both from a seedling and from a cutting. Here we are faced with the classic choice between simplicity and cost. Saplings are more expensive, but growing from cuttings is more difficult. Let's pay attention to a cheaper way. First of all, visit a flower shop and buy strong and beautiful Dutch roses there, the price in this case does not matter, because then your own flowers will grow. Choose only the freshest plants. A Dutch rose grown from cuttings is called a native rose. Its growth is organized exclusively in closed ground conditions. A conservatory, an apartment or a greenhouse will work well.
The purchased source material must immediately begin to prepare for cuttings. The middle part of the plant must be divided into cuttings 12-15 cm in size. Make sure that each cutting has 2-3 buds. The upper cut is made no further than half a centimeter from the kidney. It should have straight and even edges. Cut the thorns and remove most of the leaves: from the bottom - completely, and from the top, leave one third of them, after which the top cut is carefully treated with brilliant green.
