The very first major event of the furniture industry, which took place this year, is considered to be the Rooms Moscow 2017 exhibition, which was held from March 28 to March 31, 2017. The Crocus Expo exhibition hall, located at the Myakinino metro station, was chosen as the venue for the event.

From November 20 to November 24 of this year, the Furniture-2017 event took place in Moscow. The twenty-ninth international exhibition of fittings and furniture is one of the largest both in Russia and in Eastern Europe. Every year this event becomes the main event in the furniture market. A furniture exhibition was held in Moscow, at Expocentre. Leading brands and interior designers not only demonstrate their new collections and pieces of furniture, but also reveal the secrets of efficient business management and business development. The total exhibition area was 78,000 square meters.
The layout of the halls consists of eight thematic zones:
- 1 zone - demonstration of domestic furniture.
- 2 zone - furniture from different countries, made in all sorts of styles.
- 3 zone - home furniture.
- 4 zone - decor.
- 5 zone - kitchen furniture, as well as appliances and accessories.
- 6 zone - equipment, fittings and components for furniture production.
- 7 zone - specialized and office furniture.
- 8 zone - fillers and mattresses.
This event was held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
Furniture Exhibition in Moscow 2017: participants of the event
Most of the exhibitors were domestic manufacturers - about 630 representatives. Collective exhibitors were represented by suchregions such as Ulyanovsk, Kostroma and Kirov regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Mari El and Udmurtia. The exhibition also featured national expositions of South Korea and Germany. Also, the event was attended by more than 40,000 specialists from Russia and the countries of the independent commonwe alth, as well as near and far abroad. In total, 767 exhibitors from 28 countries took part in the exhibition, which shows the scale of the event.
Furniture Exhibition at Crocus Expo
Another major exhibition in autumn 2017 was the Fifth International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for Woodworking and Furniture Production Woodex 2017. The furniture exhibition was held in Moscow, at Crocus Expo, from November 14 to 17. More than three hundred companies from 22 world powers took part in this event. In just 4 days, visitors to the exhibition saw various furniture equipment, as well as talked with its manufacturers. Thanks to this, everyone could ask a question directly to one of the specialists of the represented company. The furniture exhibition in Moscow at Crocus Expo had at its disposal an area of 20,000 square meters. This area is a whopping 30% larger than the previous exhibition held in 2015.
In addition to Russian manufacturers, the event was attended by such countries as Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey and China. The exhibition was organized by the leading exhibition services company ITE, which is quite popular in Russia. keyThe event of the furniture exhibition in Moscow was an international conference called “Window to the future of woodworking. Technologies 20.19”. The experts of this market spoke in detail about innovative developments in the field of woodworking. Speakers from all over the world discussed options for new solutions for the industry in the market.
I Saloni WorldWide Moscow
2017 was a rich year for major furniture exhibitions in Moscow. The I Saloni WorldWide Moscow event, which took place from 11 to 14 October at the Crocus Expo exhibition hall, was no exception. About 260 enterprises took part in it. More than 30,000 people visited the exhibition this year, including representatives of various organizational structures, as well as press service employees.
A unique chance to present their project fell to students and graduates of well-known design schools, which are located both in Russia and in the CIS countries. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to go to the exhibition in Milan in 2018. Also, within the framework of the event, various master classes were given by leading experts in the furniture industry.
