Actual materials for the floor make it possible to realize the most incredible dreams in its design. The main thing is not to forget that different corners of the apartment require different materials. Unfortunately, this banal truth is constantly ignored during repairs, as a result of which we can observe the most unique phenomena like luxurious parquet … in the bathroom. What these "repairmen" think is unknown. Of course, parquet is beautiful, but in harsh conditions of constant humidity and temperature changes, it will not last long.
But the self-leveling floor (review of a rare person about it will be indifferent) will give a completely unreal feeling from its amazing beauty. It looks more like a piece of art and is quite expensive to make.
Areas of use for self-leveling floors
Like any floor covering, self-leveling floor, which you will probably have a positive review, has clearly limited areas of use. It is often used in areaswhich are characterized by high throughput and humidity: factories, hospitals, offices. It makes sense to mount such floors where there is a lot of dust and aggressive chemical environments.
Note that self-leveling floor, the review of which is especially good among industrialists, can significantly increase the service life of concrete, being laid on it. In addition, it has a high aesthetic value, which is also important. Contrary to popular belief, the base of such a flooring has a thickness of no more than three millimeters, which facilitates the installation process and speeds up the time for putting it into operation. The installation process is quite simple.
In order not to be unfounded, let's talk about the main stages:
- All self-leveling floors, the laying technology of which is described by us, require a high-quality base. Therefore, before starting work, the original concrete floor is inspected with maximum attention. If you find the slightest bumps and potholes, they should be eliminated.
- At the next stage, preliminary preparation of the floor continues. After removing defects, the concrete base should be carefully sanded. If any irregularities remain on the floor, later peeling off of a thin polymer base cannot be avoided. Therefore, spare no time and effort, bringing the base to a perfectly smooth state.
- The active composition is poured onto smooth and dry concrete. In just a day, the self-leveling floor (the price of which is consistent with the quality) becomes completely ready for use. After this period, remove fromfloor covering oily coating. You can run and jump on it only after three days.
The “live” self-leveling floor is especially good, the review of which you will only be enthusiastic. First, the base is carefully prepared (which has been repeatedly mentioned above), after which an application is laid on top of the concrete, a drawing is made or a pattern is laid out from some natural materials. From above, all this is covered with a layer of varnish and filled with polymer. Given the volume of this kind of decoration, the floors will really look "alive".
