They are mechanisms with lugs hidden inside the case, where there is also a thick metal pin. The very idea of this lock is good, but the fact is that it is made of brittle alloys, so it can be easily broken with a strong blow. It is recommended to use such a lock as an additional element to other locking devices. You can install the mechanism by welding.
Internal Garage Locks
1. Rim locks
They are quite difficult to crack, because the bolts are at the maximum distance from the metal sheet. This mechanism is installed with a drill, welding is not used in this case.
2. Mortise locks
They have two additional bolts, which provides them with high resistance to breaking, besides, they have a rather small key and no handles. The mechanism is installed using a grinder.
Electromagnetic lock
It consists of an electromagnet and a metal bar, which are located on opposite sides. The lock is quite simple in design, it has no moving parts, it can be connected to an electronic lock. Hacking such a structure is quite difficult.
It should be noted that in the garage the lock can be installed either on the gate or on the gate. Since the gate leaves are quite heavy, the lock must be strong, it must have a metal box, strong crossbars and fastenings to the door.
