Excellent modern means for leveling ceilings and internal, external walls of premises are dry plaster mixes with an admixture of gypsum components. To date, Volma plaster is especially popular with builders. It is intended for handwork and is a powder with astringent properties and gypsum filler. Additionally, mineral and chemical ingredients are added to the mixture, which provide temporary retention of moisture in the mixture during the work of the master and a high degree of strength and adhesion. Thanks to the ability to dry quickly, Volma plaster saves worker time.
Volma plaster is produced in Russia at five factories: in Chelyabinsk, Voznesensk, Volgograd (two divisions) and in the Republic of Tatarstan. The production capacities of Volma allow the production of several types of plaster mixes:
- "Volma -Decor "- used for decorative surface treatment;
- "Volma-Plast" - in demand as a base before finishing or finishing coating;
- "Volma-Aquasloy MN" - is used to work with special equipment in rooms with high humidity;
- "Volma-Sloy" - universal plaster for leveling surfaces manually under normal conditions.

Plaster "Volma" is intended for leveling the internal planes of walls and ceilings in an automated and manual way, followed by wallpaper, ceramic tiles or painting. During the execution of plastering work, it is necessary to take into account the temperature in the room. It should not be higher than thirty degrees and not lower than five degrees Celsius. Only in such conditions will the plaster give a smooth and even surface.
It can be applied to brick, concrete, drywall, aerated concrete base, as well as gypsum blocks, chipboard, MDF, wood and
cement-lime coatings.
Gypsumplaster "Volma". Specifications:
- drying period is one week;
- setting time - maximum 3 hours;
- the extreme limit of the applied layer is 60 mm (applied in two passes);
- recommended layer height - 30 mm;
- water consumption - 0.65 liters per 1kg of dry mix;
- mixture costs per 1m2 – 1 kg.
Surface preparation before applying plaster
Before starting plastering work, the plane must be thoroughly cleaned of oil stains, dirt, layers, dust. Then dry. If there are potholes, they are subject to sealing, exfoliated places - to be strengthened, irregularities, s alt deposits and fungi - to be removed. Protruding metal elements are treated with an anti-corrosion mixture. The result should be a rough and even surface. Then it is covered with a primer. After it has completely dried, you can start plastering.
