The scope of the mounting profile in modern construction is very wide. You need to be able to distinguish between the elements used in the installation of drywall, plastic panels and cable routing.

Drywall has become a truly versatile finishing material. It allows you to mount a false ceiling, align curved walls in one day, arrange partitions or complete redevelopment indoors, it allows you to quickly and with ideal angles. Subsequent finishing will not take much time, will not require a large amount of material.
When arranging all these works, a galvanized mounting profile of various sections is used. Their length varies from 2 to 4 meters, metal thickness - 4-6 mm. According to the nature of use, they are distinguished:
- Guides (UD, UW).
- Rack profiles (CD, UD).
The second ones carry a weight load (drywall is attached to them), therefore they have additional stiffening ribs. Mounting rack profile C-shaped - the main element in the installation of plasterboard structures. Section dimensions - 60 × 27 mm. The ceiling U-shaped profile is used in the construction of suspended structures. Section -60x27mm, 48x17mm. The guide mounting profile is used to fix the rack. Section dimensions - 100×50 mm, 65×50 mm, 50×50 mm.
In addition to these elements, when installing the GKL, connecting parts are used:
- perforated corner;
- extension is used when docking in one line;
- single- and two-level connectors for joining at profile mates;
- hangers for suspended ceilings;
- thrusts, hooks.
C-shaped perforated mounting profile is used for electrical work. With its help, cables, electrical shields, meters and other attached electrical equipment are attached to the walls. Material - galvanized steel, wall thickness - 1.5-2 mm, length - 2 m.
Fixing the plastic profile
For fixing PVC panels, a PVC mounting profile is used in six modifications:
- Starting: has a C-shape, the bottom shelf is twice as long as the top. Covers the side of the first panel to be installed.
- Connecting in the shape of the letter H. Used to increase the length of the panel.
- Corner outer: two parallel corners fastened together. Used to join panels at outside corners.
-
Inner corner. For joining panels at outside corners.
- End: F-shaped, covers the end of the panel when framing door and window openings.
- Plinth-shaped ceiling mounting profilewith panel shelf. Designed to visually delineate the plane of the wall and ceiling.
- Corner: looks like a ribbon. Used to decorate inner and outer corners, bent to the desired side by hand.
Mounting elements are cut off easily with a hacksaw with fine teeth. PVC panels are attached to the wall on a wooden rail in dry rooms and on a plastic or metal profile in damp rooms. The mounting parts themselves can be attached with a furniture stapler.
Profiles of this series are also used when finishing window slopes after installing a PVC structure. In these cases, a lath crate is stuffed onto the inner surface. Insulation is placed between the wall and the panel. This finish is used mostly in production and storage facilities.
