Both of these elements are installed according to the same scheme.
Types of cornices:
1) Round. In fact, these are typical crossbars that perform a decorative function. Their diameter varies from 15 to 40 mm. Installed on the ceiling and walls.

Ceiling curtain is suitable for installation on wooden, concrete and glossy surfaces. To begin with, you must dock several cornices, fitting them to the size of the room. The ceiling curtain is sawn with a grinder or a hacksaw equipped with fine teeth.
Next, we mark up and make holes in the grooves along which the hooks will go. If you have a stretch or plasterboard ceiling in your room, then marking the holes should be done in accordance with the location of the embedded elements. In other cases, the first hole is made in the very center of the curtain, while others are distributed along the edges. The minimum distance between them is 400 mm.
If the ceiling curtain provides for several strips on which curtains will subsequently be fixed, then holes must be made in all rows. For this purpose, a drill with a diameter of 5 mm is used.
If you are dealing with a stretch, wooden or plasterboard ceiling, then we can say that the preparatory stage is completed. Now we proceed to fixing the curtains to the ceiling with the help of self-tapping screws. If the ceiling is concrete, then holes must be made before installing the cornice, designed for dowel plugs. Self-tapping screws will then be screwed into them. So, we apply the curtain to the ceiling, set it to the distance we need and make the appropriate markings. After that, we pick up a puncher with a drill, the diameter of which is 6 mm, and make holes with a depth of about 40 mm. We drive pre-prepared plastic plugs into them. Next, we fix the curtains on the ceiling. Look from the outside to see if everything is ok. If something is wrong, we fix it right away.
