In the modern world, floristry courses have gained quite a lot of popularity. Everyone can attend classes and learn something new. Compositions of roses are wonderful because you can make them yourself, without resorting to the services of a professional florist and, accordingly, saving money.
Preparation of material and tools
In order to assemble a bouquet, you need to prepare raw materials and tools. The raw materials include flowers directly, as well as buds, greens, branches, ornamental grass. Don't forget the artificial decor - butterflies, hearts, beads, etc.
The use of scissors, secateurs, a stapler, a special adhesive tape can significantly speed up and facilitate the process of creating a composition. It is also necessary to takedecorative mesh, film or beautiful wrapping paper to wrap the finished bouquet, ribbons.
After purchasing all the necessary tools, start preparing the plants. First, it will be necessary to strip the lower segments of each stem from the leaves, remove the spikes. Second, sort all the twigs and flowers by size.
Bouquet options
Methods of forming flower arrangements are completely different. A bunch of flowers and greenery tied with twine wrapped in a film looks sloppy and uninteresting, but such techniques are sometimes used to obtain original and unusual compositions. For a beginner, it will be optimal to get acquainted with the classics of the assembly before moving on to the creative.
The main types of bouquets include:
- parallel;
- spiral;
- asymmetric;
- boutonniere.
The simplest option is to make a boutonniere - a tiny bouquet, flat on one side, containing, as a rule, 1 flower and decor. Here, expert advice is not required. Complex techniques include creating an asymmetrical bouquet.
Table compositions are made using the parallel method, and the symmetrical method is used in the assembly of round bouquets.
Combination of plants in bouquets
The main criterion for the successful work of a novice florist is the ability to combine colors when making bouquets of roses. Each shade should complement the neighboring one - for thisyou need to feel complementary colors and absolutely not suitable for each other. You also need to learn how to choose colors in accordance with the purpose of the bouquet - flowers of warm shades will make it livelier, cold ones - more restrained. Flowers of orange, red and yellow shades are considered warm, blue, purple are considered cold.
Proportions in composition
When arranging bouquets of various flowers, do not forget to adhere to the norms and observe the correct proportions. This refers to the size of the container, the flowers placed in it, and the leaves. There is a rule of harmony for florists and it is as follows: with a vertical arrangement of the bouquet, five parts out of eight will definitely fall on it, and the remaining three on the vase.
For a horizontally elongated composition there is a different rule: the length of short branches will be three parts, long ones - five. Otherwise, the longest branch will be 1.5pot diameter.
Assembling boutonniere
The boutonniere is a classic decoration for men's suits. As a rule, it is made from the same flowers that are present in the bouquet collected for the bride. The main rule of creation is to install one large flower in the middle, further complemented by decor.
So let's assemble the boutonniere!
We need 1 main flower. Any florist will recommend that you immerse the branch for 4 hours in a container of cold water at the beginning of work - for long-term preservation of freshness. Then cut off the stemobliquely, and carefully pierce the inflorescence with a wire in a vertical or horizontal direction - it depends on the further location of the flower.
Usually, speci alty stores use boutonniere tanks with a liquid that prolongs the freshness of the inflorescences, but at home you can use paraffin - just melt it and immerse the cut of the flower. There is an even simpler way - wrap the stem with a water-soaked cotton pad and secure it with tape.
Slightly below this flower we will place small branches, buds, also fixing with adhesive tape.
Decorate with ribbons, beads - everything! A little rose arrangement is ready!
Don't forget that 1 side is flat - for neat attachment to the jacket.
Bridal bouquet
The classic version of course will be roses - white, red, pink - it doesn't matter! They are great in any color!
First, decide what shape, shade, size your bouquet will be. Here it is important to take into account the theme of the wedding and your parameters. For a tall bride, a larger bouquet is great, for a petite bride, the composition should be smaller.
When you finally decide that you will collect a wedding bouquet with your own hands, make a real assessment of your capabilities. Don't make your first "masterpiece" using expensive flowers, and don't jump straight into a complicated scheme! Learn gradually, there will be much less disappointments and mistakes!
Let's try the classic - spiral technique for a round composition ofwhite roses. Each flower is placed with a slight slope, forming a circle, while the stems are folded tightly to each other.
Before starting the process, remove the thorns and excess leaves. Also, roses do not tolerate neighborhood with other plants at all - don't forget about that too!
Decorative decoration of the bouquet is directly dependent on the wedding theme - "country" does not like pretentiousness, a simple string is enough. On the contrary, "retro", vintage necessarily require rhinestones, beads, feathers, etc.
The easiest way to decorate a composition of roses are green branches - gypsophila, asparagus. The leg is decorated with fabric, lace, ribbons.
To create a classic bouquet of white roses we need:
- White roses 9 pcs
- Pink small spray roses 5 branches.
- Gypsophila 3 pcs
- Some floral wire.
- A ribbon in the right shade.
- Beads.
At a distance of five centimeters from the inflorescence, get rid of all the thorns and leaves. We lay in a spiral, forming a circle. Large roses - in the middle, then small ones and, at the very end, we place a gypsophila. We fix it very tightly with wire. We leave the length of the leg about twenty centimeters, cutting off everything superfluous. We wrap the attachment point with several turns of tape - if you want, you can hide all the stems. We paste over with rhinestones or beads. A wonderful bouquet is ready!
Rose arrangements in a basket
Such a present, also made by hand, will come in handy for any celebration. Flower stems are cut very short,accordingly, moisture reaches the inflorescence quickly and the composition is preserved for a long time. Also, baskets filled with flowers are more convenient to hand - such bouquets do not require a container of water.
To make such an original bouquet, take either a ready-made basket or weave it yourself. Now you need to cover it with cellophane and put a sponge for floristry in the center, soaking it with moisture. And then the most interesting thing: prepare the flowers, cut them obliquely and insert them into the sponge, forming, for example, a composition of yellow roses. Although you can combine any shades of colors!
