Along with a shower cabin and a toilet bowl, a bidet is now a familiar item in the bathroom, and not at all a sign of we alth and luxury. Nevertheless, many questions during the planning and renovation of the bathroom are caused by the purchase and installation of a bidet. Making the right choice is easy, especially if you know exactly what you need a bidet for.
For large bathrooms, a hanging or floor standing unit is suitable. Where there is little space, it is better to install a built-in bidet or use special covers on a standard toilet. In a pinch, a small shower with a hose attached to the wall next to the toilet will double as a bidet.
The bidet must be comfortable to use and fit well with the bathroom interior, but the most important thing is to pay attention to the quality of the faucet. Water should have a constant temperature and not cause discomfort at the most inopportune moment.
Regular bidet. What is it?
The bidet looks like a regular toilet, but without a tank. It has a special mixer, located in the place where the toilet should have a tank, with cold and hot water taps. Thanks to the presenceof this type of mixer, it becomes possible to perform those hygiene procedures for which it is intended. There can be two ways to supply water: from a tap from above or from below, from the rear edge of the bowl. There are faucets with the function of supplying regular, intense, pulsating, soft jets of water.
Bidet bowls are made from sanitary ware or sanitary ware. What it is is well known to everyone on the example of ordinary toilet bowls. The best option is sanitary ware with a dirt-repellent coating. The oval shape of the bidet bowl is comfortable and practical. But paying attention when choosing the shape of the bowl is absolutely optional. It's good if the bidet and toilet are combined with a style decision.
Suspended plumbing often involves a separate purchase of a water tap. The floor device, as a rule, is completed with a mixer. Some expensive high-end models can maintain the selected temperature mode using a thermostat, but you will have to adjust the water supply pressure yourself.
Widet-toilet. What is it?
In fact, this model is both at the same time. The appearance is fully consistent with a conventional toilet, but the water tank is larger and electronically controlled. Pressing a button turns the toilet into a bidet. A tube with a hole appears from under the edge of the bowl, from which a fountain of water spouts. The problem with such plumbing is that the button cannot be released all the time when using the device as a bidet. Some models do not require hot water supply, soas supplied with an autonomous water heater.
Bidet cover. What is it?
Another solution to save space in the bathroom is to install a bidet cover (bidan). This is a nozzle on a standard toilet, which is attached instead of a regular lid. It has all the control buttons. But bidans can not be installed on every toilet. As a rule, choosing a model from the same manufacturer solves this problem. There are bidans with mechanical foot pedal control.
To install a bidet or not - everyone decides for himself. But undoubtedly, the bidet has firmly taken its place in the modern bathroom. It helps maintain personal hygiene with comfort and he alth benefits.
