When erecting buildings, their appearance is very important, which depends on the quality and aesthetics of execution. Also, the outer skin directly affects the warmth and comfort inside the house. To clad a building with materials that require the installation of a frame, use a facade profile.

According to the type of material from which it is made, the following types are distinguished:

  • metal facade profile, divided into aluminum and steel;
  • plastic, a large selection is presented by Alta Profile;
  • wood-polymer.

Aluminum

The most popular for today is the aluminum type of profile, this is facilitated by its advantages, which include:

  • light weight, which makes it possible to create facades of various shapes, sizes and areas;
  • durability is several decades, this is due to the fact that aluminum does not corrode under the influence of precipitation;
  • easy installation;
  • the strength and reliability of this material is a guaranteefacade security;
  • aesthetic;
  • environmental friendliness - aluminum does not emit harmful substances, it does not contain heavy metals;
  • Aluminum façade profiles are low maintenance;
  • act as a barrier to electromagnetic waves, thereby protecting the people who are in the house and promoting their well-being.

It is for these reasons that the aluminum profile for facade panels is often found in new buildings, and sometimes in old houses. In the latter case, a popular reason for installing a profile is wall insulation. This method of insulation allows ventilation between the profile and the insulation.

But at the same time, the presence of an aluminum facade profile imposes some requirements:

  • it is not advisable to combine these profiles with other metals, since aluminum is easily oxidized by some of them;
  • for residential premises, it is recommended to use warm profiles, while for non-residential or ventilated premises, ordinary profiles will do. The reason for such requirements is the high thermal conductivity of aluminum.

Plastic Profile

The plastic profile is gaining more and more popularity, a wide choice of which is represented by the Alta Profile company.

Positive characteristics of this type of profile:

  • low price;
  • long service life;
  • beautiful appearance;
  • color variety;
  • low risk of injury (according tocompared to aluminum);
  • lightness.

Compared with the aluminum type, the plastic is inferior in strength and fire resistance.

Wood-polymer profile

Wood-polymer profile - most often has a U-like shape. Outwardly, it is very similar to wood, so it is often used as an imitation, as it is resistant to atmospheric and weather phenomena. This type of profile looks great in combination with fences, arbors and canopies made of wood.

Steel Profile

A special place is occupied by a galvanized facade profile, which is made of thin-walled steel by cold rolling with further zinc coating. This metal serves as protection against corrosion. The profile usually has a length of 2 to 6 meters and a base length of 3 meters.

For the manufacture of this type of facade profile, two types of material are used:

  • corrosion-resistant steel (grade 08X18H10 according to GOST 5582-75);
  • galvanized steel for cold profiling (grade 08 PS according to GOST 14918-80), powder coating on this type of profile is applied with a thickness of about 60 microns.

Compared to its aluminum counterpart, steel has a lower price and durability. But, despite this, the price still matters, and this type of profile is actively used to create facade systems, however, with an additionally applied protective layer.

Shape classification

The shape of the facade profile is divided into:

  • T-like, heused in systems with a vertical type of fastening. This mounting method has a number of advantages: economy, ease of installation and low cost.
  • U-shaped, or hat (got its name because of its shape) - the main vertical profile, most often made of aluminum or plastic, stitches the structure vertically, has a standard length of 3 meters.
  • L-shaped - used when mounting a vertical-horizontal type. This profile is attached horizontally to the bracket.

In addition to these common profile types, there are also C-shaped, Z-shaped, angular options.

Classification by manufacturing features

Reinforced view of the facade profile is an option that has an increased metal thickness and is used for fastening to metal elements or concrete floors. The price of such structures is higher than that of other types of facade profiles.

The special façade profile mainly plays the role of decorating the vertical, horizontal and corner seam between the facing boards of the façade system. The thickness of such a profile is from 0.55 to 0.7 mm. The color powder coating is available in various shades with a thickness of about 45 microns.

Each profile for facade panels has its own characteristics and advantages. In order not to be mistaken with the correct choice of a particular type of facade profiles, first of all, you need to start from the purpose of the building and its location. Wide range of profiles fortoday allows you to satisfy the highest and most demanding desires. But the main task when choosing a facade profile is to ensure internal comfort and external aesthetics of the building.
