The right choice of facing material plays an important role in obtaining the perfect result. It should be noted here that facade plaster has several types: it can be silicate, mineral, acrylic, silicone.

What type of plaster to choose

The most common is decorative facade plaster of mineral origin. It has a relatively low cost, it is easy to work with it, in addition to decorative functions, it acts as an insulating layer. The composition of the finishing material includes fillers, additives, it is based on a cement-sand mortar. This finish has excellent vapor permeability. Among the shortcomings, the fragility of such a finish should be noted - it will need to be restored in a dozen years, and mechanical stress and shrinkage of the building can cause microcracks and other surface defects.

Acrylic facade plaster is a less capricious material. It has a long service life, usually requires repair after 18-20 years of operation. This type is flexible. Such plaster, in combination with an insulating layer of foam, reliably protects buildings from the cold. When using bas alt wool as a heater, acrylic plaster is usually not used - it does not have sufficient vapor permeability. It is irrational to use acrylic finishes on the walls of houses that are located neardusty roads - the finish will quickly lose its attractive appearance.

The best way to finish the walls is facade silicate plaster. It is elastic, vapor-permeable, has a pronounced antistatic effect. The duration of its operation is 20-25 years. Among the shortcomings, one can note its high cost.

The most modern finishing material is facade silicone plaster. It has excellent characteristics, no doubt in trouble-free operation over a long period. At the same time, the silicone finish does not tend to change its attractive appearance over the years.
