How to make a wooden swing for children with your own hands
The simplest items designed for children's games are a seat made of well-polished boards that are attached to the base with a rope or cable. You can simply attach a similar model to a thick tree branch. However, it should be noted that if you decide to make such a swing with your own hands (product drawings can be found on construction forums), it is still better to install them on special supports - this way they will last much longer, and the reliability of the structure will increase noticeably.
Usually, metal pipes are used as a rack, which are firmly buried in the ground and concreted. A crossbar is installed on top of them, on which the swing will be hung. You can make such a support from wooden bars, then you should choose a material of at least five centimeters in diameter.
As a seat, you can use a frame structure into which a sheet of thick plywood is inserted. If you want to make the seat more comfortable, you can provide armrests, which are made from bars fixed at right angles.
