Previously, only two types of ceiling film were produced - matte and glossy. Having the same technical characteristics, these tension structures differ from each other only in their appearance. The glossy film has an almost mirror surface, while the matte film imitates a high-quality painted ceiling.
After some time, the industry began to produce satin stretch ceilings, which are a cross between a matte and glossy film. They got their name because of the striking similarity of texture with the fabric of the same name. They do not have a pronounced mirror effect, which is inherent in a glossy surface, but they are not endowed with some nondescriptness, characteristic of a too simple matte canvas. Satin stretch ceilings very favorably demonstrate their texture (due to soft reflectivity), create a feeling of peace and comfort. With uneven lighting, such a surface begins to “play” with soft mother-of-pearl tints, which gives the interior sophistication and a kind of charm.
Satin stretch ceilings, photos of which are presented in this article, are equally well suited for any type of room, but they are most appropriate in bedrooms and children's rooms. It is for this reason that satin PVC film is produced mainly in soothing pastel colors, which are most in demand when decorating the interior of these rooms.
