Acoustic panel is a special material used for soundproofing rooms. It can be used both in residential apartments and when decorating the walls of professional recording studios, cinemas. These panels can be made from many materials and have different decorative designs.

Acoustic panel can be made from soft and hard materials. Very often you can find a product based on foam rubber, wood, plastic, fiberglass, MDF. I must say that the presented material can be used both at home and in production conditions. At the same time, it is usually attached both to the walls and to the ceiling. Moreover, both load-bearing and non-bearing structures are used for this. It does not matter at all what the wall is built from.
It should be noted that the acoustic panel can be grooved and smooth. The first type is most often mounted in professional studios, where not only protection from extraneous noise is needed, but also an improvement in the quality of the recording. Ordinary smooth elements can be additionally pasted over with wallpaper. However, there are now acoustic decorative panels that look great and don't require any additional decoration.
Mounting Features
This is not hard to do, you just need to decide on the method of fastening: frame or frameless. In this case, either self-tapping screws (staples of a construction stapler) or glue are used. The second option is the most acceptable and often used. If you have chosen a frameless method of fastening, then in any case the walls must be processed: cleaned and primed. The advantage of this method is that it practically does not take up free space.
If you want to use the first method of fastening, then for this you will need to purchase a metal profile from which the frame will be made. In this case, the panels will need to be screwed with self-tapping screws. Although you will have to tinker a little with the metal structure, it will be much easier for you to attach the panels themselves later. In addition, in this case, the elements can be reused.
Please note that the metal will have to be mounted on anti-vibration suspensions. Acoustic sandwich panels are mounted in this way.
