Heating is one of the main aspects of comfortable living in the house. And if the installation of autonomous heating in an apartment sometimes entails unmeasured costs (oddly enough, but most of the amount is spent on all kinds of papers and permits), then absolutely any boiler can be used in a private house. At the same time, you can lay the entire heating system as you wish. But which boiler should you choose? Many people prefer gas devices, arguing that they are the most efficient and productive. We will not argue with this statement, however, if frequent interruptions in gas supply occur in your country house, in such cases you just need to install a combined boiler. What is this miracle device and what it is, read in our article.
Differences from gas
Combined heating boilers look almost the same aslike conventional gas heat generators, however, their main difference is not at all in design, but in the fact that they can operate uninterruptedly in the event of a gas supply shutdown. In this case, these devices are switched to another source of energy. Often this is coal or firewood (in some cases, oil products). At the same time, the operation of such devices will be as productive as with standard gas absorption. How is this possible? Combined wood + gas heating boilers can work without losing their power, because they have their own design features. Universal heaters in their design have special tubular electric heaters (heaters) of high power, as well as a combustion chamber for solid fuel and several burners for supplying gas or liquid fuel. In some cases, such devices are equipped with pellet burners. Thus, coal or firewood will themselves burn in the chamber without prior ignition. At the same time, the combined boiler has a high efficiency, however, compared to conventional gas counterparts, it is still 15-20 percent weaker.
Types
At the moment, there are several types of such devices:
- with one burner;
- with two burners.
The latest devices run on not two, but even three sources of energy. Due to its design, the combined boiler can be used both on gas and on liquid or solid fuels.
Benefits
Main plus use
The name of such a heating system is absolute autonomy from the gas supply to the system. In its absence, you can connect another source of energy at any time. Thus, in the cold season, the lack of gas will not cause freezing of water in the system.
Flaws
The main disadvantage of this boiler is its cost, which significantly exceeds the price of conventional devices operating on a single energy source. That is why experts recommend purchasing it only when you really have problems and interruptions in gas supply.
Conclusion
Now it is clear that a combined boiler is a device that should be installed only in cases where the house often does not have a normal gas supply. Therefore, it is simply not advisable to purchase it in order to be safe, both in terms of efficiency and in terms of cost.
