Modern construction is an arena for the application of many technological and technical innovations. Even in such a field as wall plastering, novelties are constantly appearing that increase labor productivity by improving the quality of processing. One of these novelties is the Knauf Betonokotntakt primer, which is a polymer dispersion with the addition of alkali-resistant sand. It is designed to treat surfaces that have low absorbency, which can be a problem when plastering walls: over time, the coating peels off.
Betonokontakt Knauf primer is recommended for processing monolithic concrete, reinforced concrete ceiling slabs, prefabricated reinforced concrete products, drywall, under gypsum and lime-gypsum plaster, before installing stucco decor, for processing polystyrene foam slabs before plastering, etc. n Surfaces coated with this primer have excellent adhesive properties, becomedenser and more durable. Surface preparation and primer application
Before using the Knauf Betonokontakt mixture, you need to prepare the surface: clean it from dust, dirt and grease stains. This material is sold in buckets of 5 and 20 kg. Depending on the type of surface to be treated, water may or may not be added to the primer (no more than 1 liter per 20 kg). Before application, the composition must be thoroughly mixed and work can begin.
Primer "Betonokontakt Knauf" (consumption - 250-350 g/m2) very economical. It is applied with a brush or roller. Do not apply the primer on cold surfaces or work with it at temperatures below +5 oC. The temperature should also not fall below this mark until the layer is completely dry. During operation, the composition must be periodically mixed.
Putty can only be applied to a completely dry primer, but the interval between drying and the start of puttying should be very small to prevent dust from settling on the treated surfaces. After work, all tools should be washed: the fresh composition is washed off with water, the dried one - only with the help of mechanical cleaning.
Contraindications touse
Do not recommend using this product on surfaces with insufficient density, crumbling and unstable substrates. Do not apply at low temperatures (below +5 oC) and on frozen surfaces.
