Parquet is a beautiful, eco-friendly flooring. And the technology that allows you to give it a unique look is parquet tinting. It will be discussed in this article.
In the modern classification by size and characteristics, there are the following types of parquet:
1. Parquet laid piece by piece. Small wooden planks, varnished or artistically decorated on one side, and connected to each other with a special fastener.
2. Panel parquet. This form of parquet is made from piece boards, previously fastened together into boards of various sizes.
3. The board is parquet. Type-setting board made of small glued wooden planks. The design principle was created back in the middle of the 20th century.
4. Massive boards. This design resembles a simple wooden floor. Boards made of solid wood 1.5-2 meters long are interconnected. It is important that even with a small damage, you have to change the entire board.
5. Mosaic parquet. Everything is simple here - the parquet is laid in mosaic in the form of a pre-planned pattern, usually it has clear geometric simple lines.
6. Palace parquet. This is the noble name of parquet, which, when assembled, is laid out in a picture.
In order to avoid mistakes when laying the pattern, mosaic and palace parquets are assembled not on the floor, but in workshops, and are laid with ready-made canvases.
Prices for such products vary greatly, which directly depends on the manufacturer and the materials used. For example, coniferous parquet is the cheapest. Often, when buying parquet from pine wood, you want it to look like the texture and color of a more expensive exotic wood, for example, from Africa or South America. Parquet tinting can come to the rescue - an inexpensive effective procedure with which you can get the desired result.
Tinting of the parquet is also necessary in the process of its repair, only it must first be cycled. Tinting will not take more than 4 days for a room of 30 sq.m.
There are two directions in the technology of giving parquet a certain color: tinting parquet with lacquer compositions - involves surface application and imparting color due to the formed color film; toning with an oil composition is carried out by impregnating and coloring wooden fibers.
Tinting of parquet requires a qualified approach, its surface after scraping should be extremely even for better distribution of tinting paste. Parquet is installed directly on cement or concrete by gluing. For these purposes, a special mastic is needed. Mastic for parquet can be cold and hot. She possessesadhesive properties, damage protection properties, sealant properties. You can also make mastic in order to rub the parquet in order to prevent shrinkage or deformation. The composition is diluted like glue, after thickening it resembles rubber, it lasts up to 20 years, it manifests its properties in a certain way in different climates, in Moscow, for example, it is stored in well-ventilated warehouses.
