The imagination of people who create crafts from scrap materials is truly limitless. It seemed like where to go next? It is simply impossible to come up with something new, all ideas have long been implemented. But no, the cute hand-made products of craftsmen continue to amaze and delight us. Have you ever seen a parrot made of plastic bottles? Not? Then let's try to make it together.

Procurement of materials

In addition to the main material, to create a parrot from plastic bottles, we need: high-quality glue, needles with threads and acrylic paints. The body of a bird can be easily cut out of foam, sometimes it is made from a five-liter plastic jar, but more often various bottles that have served their time are used. It all depends on what size you want to see the future handsome man. However, let's agree. Since we decided that we will have a "parrot" craft made of plastic bottles, then we will stick to the last option.

Making the body of a parrot

For reasons of beauty, we take a bottle with a "waist", narrowed at the top, the bottom will serve for the birdbody, upper head. Next, we make blanks for feathers, small in size, as well as wings and tail - much longer in size. It would be more correct if they are immediately painted in different colors and allowed to dry, so as not to get dirty again later.

Then, using a needle and thread, sew each feather in turn to the wings, alternating colors. You can, of course, pre-make incisions on them and gradually insert a feather into each of them, but it will still be more reliable to fix the plumage of the parrot with threads. Further on the sides and behind the body, we insert the finished wings and tail into the same incisions. We fix the “feathers” no less carefully all over the body so that our friend looks a little disheveled, and build paws. So, half the job is done, the bottom of the plastic bottle parrot is ready.

Making the head of a parrot

Let's get down to the main part of our work - the head of a parrot, because it will give completeness to the whole appearance of this bird.

To design the beak on the bottle, you need to make a semicircular cut. Then, from another suitable container, carefully cut out a circular sector and paint it with black acrylic paint. After it dries, we bend the future beak and insert it into that blank. Further, you can show originality by building a semblance of a palm tree on the bottleneck. To do this, we cut thin strips, paint them green and put them in the place where the bottle should have a cork. We make a perky crest, add a "couple of strokes" to the plumage of the head, draw or glue the nose and eyes, small ones can bebuttons to make it look more natural. Everything, the main part of the work is finished.

To add shine to paints and to make our parrot shimmer and shine in the sun, you can apply a layer of colorless varnish on it. And in order for it to be stable and not "fly away", a handful of small pebbles must be poured into the very capacity of the bottle.

Just look at our plastic bottle parrot. Well, isn't he beautiful?

Looking closely, you can see that our bird craft reminds us a lot of someone.

And for sure, she really looks like that very cheerful and cocky parrot Kesha from the series of animated films that is loved not only by children, but also by adults.

We have no doubt that our self-made parrot Kesha made of plastic bottles will take its rightful place in the country yard, and maybe even somewhere at home and with its presence will delight and delight all guests for a long time.
