EPDM membrane
The main component for the manufacture of this type of waterproofing is a synthetic rubber material, which is reinforced with polyester fiber threads. The EPDM membrane is very flexible and has excellent performance properties. But it has one significant drawback - the complexity of arranging joints. To connect the canvases, special glue is required. As a result, joints are the weakest point of structures.
TPO membrane
Thermoplastic olefins are used as the main component in the manufacture of this material. This type of waterproofing membrane can be made with or without fiberglass mesh reinforcement. This material has little plasticity, which has significant restrictions on its use.
